Overall it was good

PARKING CAN SOMETIMES BE AN ISSUE, which is endemic in the Scarborough central area.

Worst experience ever I booked wrong date and I tried to cancel on the 9th phone don’t work you need to pay to contact travelogue never again after been regular traveloguer it’s time to leave you guys know that make me sad but it’s life init

good but the water is not that hot

房間有味道，早餐幾豐富，位置很好10分方便，但是沒有停車場，要行大約10分鐘先有停車場，啲雀仔好嘈。

房間半夜漏水，漏了一個多小時還未停，簡直不可思議，這樣的價錢，如果可以再選擇，我永遠都不會選這家酒店

The staff was very helpful and friendly from booking in to booking out the hotel was clean and tidy the hotel is in a perfect location because it like 2 minutes from the beach and not much longer from the town centre the food is nice and do recommend you taking advantage of their meal deal which in some cases depending on the food you want, you can take back to your room

The building is so clearly tired and in need of big investment now that they've ignored routine maintenance jobs. Somehow I don't see that happening, which is a real shame. The radiators in the room and the bathroom were disconnected and only a very small wall mounted heater was working, due to the positioning of this heater and the warning on it saying "do not cover" I was unable to close the curtains fully as they were long enough to cover the vents on the top of the heater which would have been a hazard - hence the warning sticker I assume. I asked at reception about swapping to another room with functioning heating and was told "They are all like that, the rads aren't connected up". Clearly the radiators were there when the Travelodge was still St Nicholas Hotel and worked at that time. It seems mad to have a bathroom with no form of functioning heating when there is a lovely big radiator installed in there! There were numerous blanked off electrical points around the room which presumably would have been installed for guests to charge their modern devices such as laptops, phones, tablets etc. I could see no logical reason for having to fiddle in the corner behind the small TV in order to either unplug the kettle or TV just to charge one's devices and it was very frustrating to have to do so. I booked the room for 2 guests for 2 nights and we had a total of two towels and no way to dry them once they had been used, again I asked at reception about a solution and was told "We can provide more towels is you really need them". Two towels for 2 guests for 2 nights!!! Again, functioning radiators would have solved this issue................. Overall I have to say the only reason for not giving zero as a score is the location of the Travelodge, it is very handy for a visit to the town centre and Scarborough's South Bay. On my next visit I will be choosing the Premier Inn which is about 100 metres away and paying a few pounds more for a "Guaranteed good night's sleep or a refund"

We had a three night stay here which was quite enjoyable the room was clean comfortable had tea making facilities small flat screen tv , the bathroom was fine it had a shower over the bath which was a rose coming out of the wall water temperature was good we had room 209 next to the loft through a labyrinth of corridors which we’re clearly marked the view was a fire escape at the back of the building . The front of desk staff were well mannered and very helpful I would stay there again we didn’t have the breakfast we know some nice places in Scarborough to eat

Jo Paul Ellen were absaloutly fabulous and looked after us really well with clear care for me as a customer and care for the hotel itself

The most disgusting ‘hotel’ we’ve ever stayed in Do NOT stay here The room was very cold heating not sufficient The bathroom extremely dirty wet and lumps of wet tissue all over The toilet had not been cleaned seat soaking with a liquid unsure of what that was! still with the previous occupants faeces all round The room still had rubbish from previous occupants Very tired and unkempt room and entire establishment The corridors smell foul are dirty and cold none of the radiators on Do you yourself a favour do NOT stay here is an absolute disgrace How this place can still be open and accepting guests is beyond belief I’m sure if there happens to be an inspection this place would be ordered to close down with immediate effect DO NOT STAY HERE

We when for along weekend for my parents birthday book in Friday went out for dinner came back to a freezing room a gale coming through the window handles broke When to reception to complain not helpfully having complained next morning we moved but very rundown rooms it lost it appeal won’t go back good luck

Very disappointed with my stay as was woken throughout the night with fire alarm going off and people continuously banging doors

I always check the mattress seam for bedbugs in hotels. And there they were in room 411. I was told there wasn't an alternative room nor direct refund available. I asked them to look at it or let me take photos. But they said that both them and myself have to raise the issue online through customer services. Not good enough. The Grand Hotel made sure we weren't stranded for the night and gave us a big, room with seaview for cheaper and without bedbugs.
