ガストホフ グラフ(Gasthof Graf)

My wife and I, plus our two kids and my brother ended up here last minute after arriving at our (we thought) pre-booked hotel down the road in another town only to find that booking had been cancelled (though it was never communicated to us) and we couldn't have been more pleased to have ended up at Gasthof Graf just by chance! The hostess (owner, maybe?) was PHENOMENAL. Super friendly, super helpful, super kind. She had tips for our visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, printed tickets for us, asked after us when we returned. We felt like we were appreciated and part of the family. The rooms were nicely sized, clean, and the optional breakfast was great! The attached restaurant was fantastic, too! The other staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go out of our way to stay here again if we're ever in the area!

We stopped for a late lunch on our way back from the Neuschwanstein Castle. The beer garden was pretty and relaxing (as opposed to other ones we experienced that were loud and overcrowded) The staff were very friendly and attentive! The food and beer were both great and we all loved what we ordered (everything from sausages to spaetzle to schnitzel). Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

We spent 2 nights there (2adults, 3 kids) Very good place (room very clean, no noise as rooms are far from the road, good breakfast, good food at restaurant, for dinner) and very friendly owners. I really recommend this place, for couple or for family.

Enjoyable base location for touring by motorcycle.

The accommodating staff made me feel like family in their home. Very clean facilities and wonderful, delicious food. The best food I have ever eaten in Germany. I will definitely be staying again.

A gem in Steingaden. Run by a super friendly couple who also whip up amazing meals. Enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant and a wholesome breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in before the actual time. We were touched by the warm hospitality and would definitely stay here again

We had a lovely 4 days here. The room didn't look quite as nice as the pictures but it was clean and comfortable. Don't know what it would have been like in Summer as its on a main road and it might be a bit noisy with the windows open. Although we booked a 4-bedded room we had a double bed with a sofa bed, which was rahter hard. The food was delicious as were the drinks and the lovely beer garden under the horsechestnut trees. I wouldn't pay the money for an ensuite again as the bathroom was extremely small, so small that the toilet flushed when the toilet seat was up because it was installed into such a small space. There was room to have made the bathroom bigger and we couldn't understand why it was so small as there was tiling on one wall which showed that the bathroom had originally gone to that wall but now there was a gap of about inches between the two walls that was lost space. The guesthouse is on a main road but in an ideal position for day trip to many locals places. Its not a good place to stay if you have mobility issues unless you can guarantee a ground floor room.
