ロマンチック & ファミリー ホテル ガルデニア(Romantik & Family Hotel Gardenia)

This is basicly a nice hotel with a good location, beautiful views and surroundings, precious half board, bright and clean rooms, a nice garden and pool area and generally rather OK staff and service. We really appreciated the generous breakfasts and dinners but our absolute favourite were the wonderful afternoon buffet between 2 and 5 pm and its´ many delicious desserts. Our compliments to Mattia in the bar for excellent service! The room that we got didn´t at all match the description of our reservation made long time in advance. Our reservation explicitly was for a room with a balcony or terrace, a mountain view of the Sasso Lungo and a third bed 90-130 cm wide. We had chosen and paid for a superior room just to get all this but didn´t get anything of it despite our protests at arrival. Our room was to the rear with no view at all, there was no terrace or balcony and the third bed turned out to be only 75 cm wide and not more than 180 cm. We got only non acceptable excuses and offers of alternatives from the front desk manager and no compensation at all. The response we got were that all rooms in the hotel are different and that we got a sauna and a whirl pool instead. As we have these amenities at home this wasn´t anything that we wanted and particularly not in the summer. The alternatives that we were offered were not better; a much smaller room with some kind of mountain view and a side balcony but a smaller third bed and no space for another extra bed or to make an upgrade to some kind of premium room for 900 Euros!!! I´m also completely sure that there were better but perhaps more expensive rooms available most of the days during the week but maybe not the last days. We find the attitude shown towards us from the hotel and its´front desk manager completely unacceptable. We enjoyed our stay but the hotel didn´t at all deliver what we had paid for so we are terribly disappointed. Further more just som minor details. You should know that there is no lift/elevator in the hotel (we stayed at the top floor). The policy concerning the wine list is impossible to understand. Wines by the glass means only 10 cl and if you prefer a bottle the prices are extraordinary high even for simple or standard wines. The cheapest one at 30 Euros and almost no others under 50 Euros.

We totally enjoyed our stay - walkable location to cable car, royal suite room, hot tub, bocce ball, and very nice children’s playroom. It was also nice to do our own laundry here. All staff were very helpful and provided excellent service, especially for a party of 5 (including a 2 year old). The food was excellent - extensive breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, yogurt and various croissants; also eggs could be ordered. Dinners were gourmet with 5 courses. Overall excellent in all aspects for our family!

Room was dark and dated. The single window faced an embankment 30 feet away and the extended roof overhang meant never seeing the sky. Never! We asked for a different room but the front desk manager insisted that we had to pay more if we wanted to see the sky. Keep in mind that it was the shoulder season and they were less than half-full. So they would rather leave rooms empty than accommodate a modest request by a guest. Given the poor start, we chose not to have our evening meal on site even though the same desk manager tried to sell us a 'special' price for half-board if we used the dining room during our entire stay. The breakfast was adequate though they were slow to re-stock some platters that were empty or picked over. Again, it was not that busy so it seemed like they were just being kind of cheap. The facility itself was nice and spacious with a great outdoor seating area at the bar/entry. The exception being the worn tan shag carpet on the stairway. With the exception of the original front desk manager, everyone else was quite pleasant and helpful.

Excellent hotel. All facilities were great and staff very friendly and helpful. Steep walk from centre of village but shuttle bus very helpful. Great food and leisure facilities. Amazing childrens area. Would definitley recommend.

Enjoyed our fourday stay at Gardenia very much! Very friendly personnel. Comfortable transfers by hotelbus to the four skilifts and back. Loved the two jacuzzi’s and five sauna’s. Good breakfast buffet with fresh orange juice! Recommended!

Perfect. Large and clean wellnes opened from 15 to 19 with 2 whirpools and 4 different saunas. Shuttle service from hotel to 4 locations in Val Gardena valley ( Ciampinoi, Dantercepies, Col Raiser and Santa Cristina)

The Gardenia is handily placed for accessing the Selva/Santa Christina slopes. They provide a shuttle service to the lifts but we didn't use it much as the local city bus stops outside the hotel regularly and within a couple of minutes drops you at the Col Raiser gondola station from where you can go up and ski great runs linking into Ortisei or take the underground train to the Saslong lift which connects into the whole Sella Ronda circuit. We found an easy track you could ski back to the hotel from there at the end of the day. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms warm and well appointed. Plenty of parking space, good WiFi throughout, convenient ski and boot room with lockers. Would love to stay there again next time we are in Selva/Santa Christina.

Lovely hotel, very courteous service, lovely playground for children, very nice staff in all areas, high quality food, Beautiful area, many options for winter sports, large spacious suite, with lots of storage space, warmly recommended

ich war dieses Jahr vom 16. - 23.3. das dritte mal bei Ihnen im Hause, es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub, trotzdem habe ich ein paar Mängel zu berichten. Beim ersten Aufenthalt bei Ihnen im Jahr 2022, ich hatte jedes mal das Zimmer Nr. 203 sind einige Dinge zu beanstanden die ich schon 2022 an der Rezeption gemeldet hatte. Im Bad hängt der Spiegel von der Wand und lässt sich nicht mehr einstellen. Das Bad in diesem Zimmer ist schon eine Zumutung, wenn man auf der Toilette sitzt muss man die Dusche öffnen sonst hat man kein Platz, viel zu klein. Der Radio im Zimmer und der USB Stick funktionieren nicht. Die Fernbedienung die im Bad liegt funktioniert und reagiert nicht auf den Bildschirm, vermutlich Batterien leer. In der Dusche lassen sich die Bedienknöpfe nur sehr schwer bedienen, kalt und Warmwasser kann man sehr schlecht einstellen und nur mir großem Kraftaufwand drehen. Ich glaube, in diesen 3 Jahren hätte man bestimmt Abhilfe schaffen können, es müsste doch auch dem Zimmerservice aufgefallen sein, dass diese Dinge nicht ordnungsgemäß funktionieren. Ich verstehe auch nicht, warum kein deutsch sprechendes Servicepersonal (außer der Herr) an der Rezeption vorhanden ist, wo doch bestimmt die Mehrheit deutsch sprechende Gäste im Hause sind. Der Whirlpool vor dem Zimmer konnte man fast nicht benutzen, er war total überchlort, die Haut wurde schon angegriffen. Wir waren jedes mal nach dem Abendessen in der Bar, wenn dort ein Getränke bestellt wurde musste man dem Kellner jedes mal die Zimmerkarte wegen der Nr. zeigen, da man sich sehr schlecht verständigen konnte. Normal, so kenne ich das von anderen Hotels, liegt für jedes Zimmer eine Karte vor, wo die Getränke eingetragen werden und der Gast anschließend dafür unterschreiben muss, dann gibt es auch keine Verwechslung und Reklamation beim bezahlen. Was die Schlussabrechnung betrifft, warum kann man die Rechnung nicht schon am Vorabend begleichen, so stehen alle am Abreisetag in Schlange an der Rezeption, es wird unnötige Zeit vergeudet. Ich bin gesch. in den letzten 2,5 Jahren in ca. 70 Hotels in Europa unterwegs gewesen, ich weis wovon ich spreche. Ich hoffe, Sie können Abhilfe schaffen, so dass beim nächsten Aufenthalt die Dinge erledigt sind.
