We attended a family wedding at the hotel. I cannot fault anything. The building is beautiful inside and out. The ceremony/dining room is quite breathtaking. Light, airy and classy with giant feathery lightshades. The food was outstanding. We enjoyed every bit. Staff are friendly, professional and attentive. A welcoming room with an incredibly comfortable bed, quality furniture, very soft linen and towels and Occitane toiletries. Many guests of the wedding expressed just how lovely everything is.

Here comes paradise - look no further as it is spot on for comfort, great food and ambience! A warm welcome from Melissa after a long train journey as well as Amy in the bar making us feel at home too. Thanks also must go to the chef as adaptable to our preferences. What more could we want for our trip the following day on the stunning Settle to Carlisle railway on the Yorkshire Dales.

Stopped here for a quick drink but were told by a member of staff that the hotel was too full to accommodate us, although the bar, restaurant and entrance hall were all empty. A shame as it looks a nice place.

Fantastic wedding venue - our son and his wife got married at the weekend and had their reception here. It was absolutely amazing, we have visited in the past for dinner but the wedding blew us away. The food was lovely, bbq at night was great and the staff were very helpful and courteous. Thank you for giving us some great memories

Writing this review whilst lay in the hotels comfiest bed after a lovely two night stay. We visited Settle as a little getaway to celebrate a special occassion and needed a hotel to fit the bill and this place certainly did just that. We were welcomed on arrival by the most lovely staff and given a complimentary upgrade which was a wonderful suprise. The room was gorgeous. High ceilings, sparkling clean, the most comfortable bed and pillows, large window with fabulous views and a modern bathroom with a lovely big bath. We ate both nights in the restaurant and the food and service were great. Again, staff went above and beyond. There is a great choice on offer for breakfast, from full English, veggie, eggs benedict, eggs royale and even porridge with a dram! I loved the decor of this place. Really in keeping with the building. The roaring log fires and perfect. Would most definately make a return visit and be recommending to friends and family. Thank you for making our special stay one to remember 💓

Stayed here for two nights when my son got married and I must say the service, rooms, food and staff are fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and we were never made to feel like we were asking something that they could not accommodated. We highly recommend this hotel thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for making the day run so smoothly

What a fantastic hotel this is, made my wife so happy, great fire place as you enter to the very professional staff, if I was getting married I'd put that at top of my list, our room was perfect big bath in the bay window, definitely big enough for two

Wonderful hotel in an beautiful setting in the Yorkshire Dales just outside Settle. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the gardens and a four poster bed. Really friendly staff throughout the stay, with a great breakfast served the next day.

Such a characterful hotel. Open fires in the main rooms which made the hotel warm and inviting. Staff were all very friendly. Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was large and comfortable. Food was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful. Just a 10 min walk to Settle which has plenty of pubs and café.

From the moment we arrived to the beautiful roaring fire, the welcome we received was so friendly and we instantly fell in love with the hotel, we upgraded our room for a small extra fee which was well worth it, we stayed 2 nights with dinner on the first night, the hotel is warm, cosy and very homely, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had a lovely dinner with fabulous service, breakfast was delicious. We will definitely come and stay again, if the owners of the group read the reviews, your staff are just incredible and that level of service and helpfulness is what makes this hotel a wonderful place to stay.

We had a 2 night stay, evening meal, breakfast, and afternoon tea. Lovely friendly helpful staff who kept my partners secret and surprised me for my 70th birthday. Can't fault the food, accommodation, surroundings and service. Warm, comfortable and inviting. The candle lit areas and beautiful chandeliers really added to the old world charm. An information pack telling more about the history of the building and the local area would be an asset..

A beautiful characterful hotel, with exquisite design and furnishings. Our room was excellent with superb views over the hills. The room provided for a lovely evening will high ceilings and ornate furniture but containing all the facilities of a modern hotel. We stayed for evening meal and breakfast, both meals were excellent in presentation and taste. The staff members were very knowledgeable and attentive, which added to the enjoyment. The only minor criticism was that the heating in the morning didn't come on till after we had gone for breakfast. All in all a great relaxing stay, which we will repeat.

Stayed two nights with my daughter and our dog.. lovely grand looking hotel. Open fire lit as you enter the building, greeted warmly and showed to our room. Double room with spacious bathroom.. we walked in to Settle for the evening which is a lovely historic village. We had a couple of drinks in the snug area in the evenings and our dog was given a blanket to lie on and a bowl of water, Sean was lovely with her. Breakfast was really good and our dog received a chopped up sausage both mornings. Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely bring the rest of the family in the future
