The cons - The first day I checked in, I was expecting a friendly and warm reception but instead I was met with an absolutely horrendous attitude from the lady at the front desk. As a foreigner, this made me quite uncomfortable because I felt somehow discriminated against. She wasn't nice at all, and after we paid for the room...she just gave us the keys and left us to find the hotel rooms ourselves. My main issue was concerning my deposit. I was nice the entire time but a little confused which I assumed irritated her. I would expect her to be a bit more understanding if someone doesn't understand something and there's a language barrier. We also had heavy luggage and nobody assisted us to carry it to those said rooms. Another problem we experienced was the overall negligence and lack of cleanliness, they don't; replace used coffee mugs, empty the dustbins! face towels and don't make any effort to remove used towels from the bed. The floor was dusty and my skin would crawl if I ever walked barefoot. The gym was also not operational, even though they advertised it as operational. The location is also a 20 minute bike ride or 10 minute cab ride to the subway. I'm not complaining here because we knew about how far it was.
The pros- The food was good, especially for what you pay for. Nothing too interesting but delicious nonetheless. The rooms function as expected. The AC is good, shower is good, bed was comfy and everything worked without problems. Cleanliness is 3/5 because of the negligence. It was clean on the first day, but after we spent the night there it was like we were forgotten and those above mentioned problems began. You kind of feel scammed. The surrounding neighborhood is not bad, but you may have a hard time accessing restaurants unless you use a navigation map.
Overall should you come here? Yes, but ensure that you complain as soon as you experience a problem.
