Nice place to stay. staff are more than great. all facilities are clean and room is the best in my opinion in the area as bi sofa is availble for kids

A great experience of comfort, relaxation, with a touch of real class. The staff were a pleasure to relate with. The kitchen staff were really helpful. Great imellettes cooked within ones view. An array of food that should satisfy anyones appetite We would recommend this hotel to anyone who has reason to be in this area. Shopping on the doorstep, and a beautiful Mosque two minutes walk away. A Russian Orthodox church within a very short taxi ride. ATM's within two minutes walk. All in all, an excellent choice of Hotel.

More like a 4 star B hotel but at least better than Ibis Sharjah Liked · 1. True non-smoking room not non-smoking only in name as at Ibis Sharjah 2. Excellent refrigerator with working freezer. 3. Excellent aircon with temperature control. 4. Spacious room and large modern bathroom. 5. Mattress is comfy. 6 Good blackout curtains. Disliked · 1. Drain in sink clogged 2. Hair drier not working 3. Annoying buzzing sound (emitted by refrigerator?) impeding continuous restful sleep 4. Clock set incorrectly indicating 40 minutes fast 5. Terrible corrugated floors uncomfortable to walk on with bare feet or with socks 6. Very few spare outlets to use or inconveniently located negating their utility 7. Quirky, unergonomic lighting i.e. insufficient lighting for reading in bed; floor lamp located in useless place 8. Bed needs an extra, thin sheet (brought my own fortunately) and is not long enough for tall people Cleaners start vacuuming around the doors of the room by 10AM so if you are not sleepless from the noise in the room, then you will get woken up by the cleaners mid-morning. I used this hotel as I had a 17 hour layover in Sharjah. It is located in the neighborhood Majaz-1. On the way from Sharjah airport on a Saturday evening it was slow going by taxi (30-40 minutes) at a cost of 55 dirhams but Sunday morning just 10-15 minutes at a cost of 36 dirhams. This was an alternative for me to staying at the overpriced Sharjah Airport hotel on Dhaid Road "Centro" (in which there are no eating options outside this Centro Hotel). However, near Hotel 72 turning right at the main entrance staying on the main street there is a good Arabic restaurant within perhaps 250 meters from the hotel called Madfoon Al-Khaimah. That is why I rated location as very good in terms of utility of Hotel 72 as a transit hotel. Charged $79 for one night. If you add in an additional $27 for taxis from/to the Airport, the savings from staying is very small to nil but at least you can have a good meal at an affordable price near Hotel 72 at Madfoon Al-Khaimah. I would not rate this hotel highly but standards are low throughout Sharjah so, in comparison with other Sharjah options, it is not a bad choice. Certainly better than the last time I transited in Sharjah and stayed one night in Ibis Sharjah, which, even at half the price of Hotel 72, is an inferior choice by far. If memory serves, by the way, I stayed in room 607 down the corridor on the 6th floor last door on the left.

Upon arrival you meet Bilal with an welcoming smile and willingness to make sure that his guests are having the best experience. Then Ajith arrives to to welcome you as well and guide you to your outstanding spacious room. Overall truly above expectations

The location of hotel was perfect. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room size is perfect. The view of Sharjah Lagoon was nice. Wifi was good.. breakfast was good. Parking available. Easy check in and out.

The place is very clear and spacious. The view is that make it stand out. The quality if food is great I stayed during last days of ramdam and experience was lovely. The shift in charge in reservations and while staff is very helpful and friendly

...is killer. The room was pretty awesome as well. But I loved the view too much and more than anything else. The hotel refers to it as a lagoon view. It has a cityscape, an island, a park, and a beautiful mosque off to the left in it that makes it magical. I'm about to go to the mosque for a tour. I think the park in front of the lagoon is something they call the Corniche. Wonderful place in the evenings with families and friends all sitting together under the rows of palm trees enjoying their time together. That island (Al Noor Island) has some nice paths to stroll along and a butterfly farm to make the kids happy. I went inside and one of the butterflies was like attacking me - I think because my Hawaiian aloha shirt might have looked like a tree. Actually, they're just bugs to me so... The hotel itself has a wonderful breakfast, and I snapped some pics for you to see. Pretty much anything you want with eggs to order. Everything was very fresh and delicious, and I got to enjoy that view while eating in the morning as well. My room was quite large with a comfortable king size bed in it. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the strange switches it had for the lighting. I couldn't really figure it out but then I didn't ask anybody for help either. I guess I was able to get the lights on and off when I needed to. Bathroom was quite large as well with separate tub and shower, and a bidet which which I don't really feel any kind of desire to use. Good people work here and special thanks to Rose and Charles at the front desk for always being kind and helpful. Charles was always happy and greeted me with a big smile (one can see it even through his mask) when I returned to the hotel in the evenings. Just a really exceptional hotel experience for an excellent price which I got through ***********. Oh, I shouldn't leave out Rajaul from housekeeping who took good care of the room for me. Thank you 72 Hotel Sharjah staff for my great stay.
