Courteous and all time smiling staff particularly Longingmon and Risa……..clean rooms………good food……nice music…comfortable and suitable for family……perfect location in the middle of the city……price is also reasonable.

Wonderful hotel. Spacious rooms, courteous staff and the best part is the food. Simply delicious. The hotel is centrally located and hence convenient to go around Shillong. The staff was attentive and catered to our needs immediately. Will definitely recommend this hotel for stay in Shillong

However, my experience was mixed, with several aspects not living up to expectations.The hotel's location in the bustling city centre does afford convenience, providing easy access to local sights and amenities. Yet, this comes with the caveat of enduring the city's heavy traffic, which can be a significant drawback for those seeking a tranquil retreat.The Heiga Hotel has expanded into adjacent buildings to accommodate more guests. This expansion, while perhaps intended to enhance capacity, unfortunately feels haphazard. The coherence and seamless integration between the original hotel and the new extensions are lacking, impacting the overall guest experience.A critical issue I faced was with the air conditioning system. The climate control was ineffective, struggling to maintain a consistent and comfortable temperature within the rooms. For a city like Shillong, where the weather can vary, reliable air conditioning is essential for comfort.The transition between the hotel's buildings highlighted a noticeable decline in hygiene standards. Moving through areas that serve as connectors to the newer sections, I was confronted with unhygienic conditions that question the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and safety protocols.Considering the price paid, the value for money at Heiga Hotel is questionable. The fundamental issues with air conditioning, cleanliness, and overall ***agement of the extensions significantly detract from the experience. It is disappointing when essential comforts are not adequately provided, as they form the cornerstone of a pleasant hotel stay.In conclusion, while the allure of a city centre location is strong, the Heiga Hotel's shortcomings, particularly in terms of comfort, hygiene, and value, suggest that better accommodation options are available in Shillong. The city, known for its scenic beauty and welcoming atmosphere, deserves to be experienced without such hindrances. I had a sumptuous lunch this March, Dawanki and Bobilton, Ewan were at service and very hospitable. The quality and quantity of food is very good. Everyone should come and visit us once they are in town. The lounge is quite spacious and the aura is wonderful. I've visited ***y times and would love to do so in future as well.

Excellent pan Asian food, the atmosphere in the restaurant is comfortable beating the cold outside, food is yummy and tasty mouth watering, serve by pyntngen. So glad having this type of menu in the city looking forward with high expectations other international menu will be available. Service was excellent serves by Pyntngen with a smiling face 😊
