Think carefully before you book anywhere else! Easy to find, parking outside, charming host, short walk to the town center, couple of nice watering holes en route, and return, everything you need in the room, exceptionally clean, very comfortable bed, whatever you want for breakfast, and homemade cake, cake like your remember when you ate it without guilt! This is a guest house, not a hotel. For an overnight stay to see Shrewsbury, it was fine for us. Would we stay again? could I have another slice of the cake please.

Just back from a weekend stay at Anton Guest house! We had such an enjoyable stay. Came across Anton guest house through wanting to use a ‘buy a gift’ voucher. Upon confirmation of the booking, I received an email with detailed information on where to go in Shrewsbury as well as suggested restaurants we should book. Upon arrival, we were pleased to see that was a great location and about a 15 min walk into town. Breakfast was delicious! Louise is a great host, she makes fresh cakes almost daily to provide to her guests. There is also a fridge available for guests to use which is handy. Louise has thought of everything to enable her guests to have a fantastic stay. We will definitely be back.

Our one night stay here was superb. The property has charm and is in pristine condition, and a short walk from English Bridge. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped, and there is a lot of attention to detail to provide guests with a quality experience. This is exemplified with breakfast - fantastic range of choices and nutritious and plentiful content. We had a very warm and helpful welcome from Louise, we were well looked after and we loved our stay here

Lovely B&B. The host was incredibly friendly and attentive and felt right at home. My only criticism was a lack of parking (though not the Anton Guest House fault). Also recommend a small bag as the stairs are difficult to navigate with a bag. Oh! And the baked camembert is delicious for breakfast. Would happily stay there again.

Four night break in Shrewsbury. Stayed at the Anton b&b. What a fabulous place. Our host Louise, was wonderful and friendly, she couldn’t do enough for you! The room was spotless and comfy with a lovely shower. Complimentary teas and coffees were excellent quality, which included luxury biscuits and Linder chocolates. Breakfast was wonderful, one of the best we’ve had, with excellent choices. There was also homemade cake available any time of the day. Fridge in dining room offered fresh milk and bottled water throughout our stay. It was a lovely walk to the town, approx 10 mins. We’ll definite stay again. Definitely recommended!!

My wife and I recently traveled to Shrewsbury (from Chicago) as part of a group tour. We booked our 2 nights there at Anton Guest House. We found our accommodations to be very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Anton Guest House is located in a quiet neighborhood, an easy walk into town. We also felt that our stay at Anton Guest House was a great value. The owner, Louise, could not have been more gracious, friendly or personable. She made us feel right at home from the very start. I love breakfast time; the delicious food that Louise made for us was a great way to start the day. With a nice variety of breakfast choices on offer, each morning can be a new treat. I highly recommend Anton Guest House to anyone staying in Shrewsbury. We will definitely book there again when we return. Thank you Louise!

A warm welcome awaits you when you arrive at Anton Guest House. Louise is a wonderful hostess and nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable rooms, with plenty of amenities to make your stay here relaxing and pleasant. Home cooked food at breakfast is the perfect way to start the day. This was our second stay here and we will be back.

Party of 3 celebrating my mums 80th birthday to see Max Boyce at Shrewsbury Theatre. Am so pleased I found this guest house, we had such a lovely time thanks to Louise’s kindness, making us feel so welcome. Everyone has mentioned her cakes which are incredible. It’s just a lovey atmosphere in a historically interesting building that oozes character. The breakfasts are amazing and it’s the only place I have stayed in where I have had a really good vegan breakfast, with ready available plant milk, spreads. The additional extras in the rooms were lovely with a great range of drinks and biscuits. My mum was so comfortable in the penthouse suite, all our beds were very comfortable and we slept so well. Also everything is spotless. Again am so pleased found Anton’s - it’s worth every penny and the location is fantastic to walk into town. Thanks again Louise for helping my mum have a great birthday, you work so hard - as does your sister. All the best and we hope we can come back again before too long. Sue,
