I have to say I have stayed in many hotels over the years both in business and leisure, The Belmont rates at the top for service, comfort and location. The staff are all absolutely wonderful and can't do enough to make your stay a perfect experience, so thank you one and all for making my husband and I feel really looked after in every way. The food is also fantastic we both enjoyed dinner and the breakfast was superb with anything you can think of, we loved the fact it was table service and not like many hotels a buffet. We will certainly be staying again hopefully in the near future.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend stay. The hotel is right on the seafront bringing nostalgia and quality. Easy access to sister hotel to use their facilities and able to book treatments. The rooms are clean, well furnished and comfortable. Food and service wonderful. Reception staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. This is a traditional hotel, very English, high quality and not for those seeking only modern living. Our only complaint would be the 'bar staff' are not attentive, pay little attention and need to be more customer focused. Ensuring all guests have a drink. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend break at The Belmont. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and very efficient, the Reception team, bar staff, waitresses and housekeepers all seemed so happy. Our room, although basic and small was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. There was a good choice of drinks in the bar and we enjoyed the views across the sea from the seated areas both inside the bar and on the terrace. Breakfast was fabulous, good quality produce all perfectly cooked. It made such a pleasant change to be waited on and not have to get up and down to help yourself to a buffet. We used some of the facilities at the sister hotel, The Victoria which was a bonus. The Lido and the newly refurbished spa were great and so well equipped. We are planning to visit again next year as we’re very keen to sample the afternoon tea as it looked absolutely amazing! My only little ****** was the very bright lights outside of the window and our room was next to the laundry cupboards and the lift so it was quite noisy early in the morning (early for us but maybe not for some). We will request a different room for our next visit.

We booked a day or so before we came, we were upgraded the room was really lovely. Food good, staff good. Can’t fault it tbh

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at your splendid hotel in August to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was beautiful and had a view is the cricket pitch. Everything in the room was perfect. Crisp linen, fluffy towels real quality toiletries. The food at the hotel was exquisite, hot and tasty. A really great choice of dishes to choose from. The breakfast menu was one of the best I have ever glanced at. Service from staff wonderful, all staff so polite and happy to help, ensuring your stay is a pleasant memory. We would particularly like to thank Mr Tim Beauchamp who really went the extra mile looking after us making our anniversary a truly memorable occasion. We will definitely be back. Still thinking about our wonderful experience. Many thanks to you all.

After a day out in Sidmouth and finding the Belmont we have been back again and again. We definitely recommend the Belmont

The Belmont Hotel exceeded our expectations. Friendly staff, wonderful food, luxurious bedroom and view.

This hotel offers excellent food, very good facilities in the room, helpful and courteous staff and sometimes a view of the sea from the room. What more could you want.

Lovely Location in Sidmouth , however we were disappointed with the overall service , and food was very average , ( we were told the Head Chef was on holiday) drinks very expensive , our room was lovely apart from a search light shining in the room until late so couldn’t sit on our balcony in the evening

Went during Folk Week 2024. Sidmouth is an expensive place to stay that week but it suited us to book a hotel this year and bear the higher cost of staying at such a special location. We weren't disappointed. Lovely views, staff amazing and beautiful grounds. Note, we didn't really have much call for the outstanding dining experience and leisure facilities, and if that's your thing then it's well worth pushing the boat out. Room stuffy initially and I've written to the hotel in more detail on this, with suggestions. Important to mention that everyone did all they could to alleviate the issue.

We stayed for a long weekend and absolutely everything went as hoped. This very clean, traditional hotel is in one of the best locations in Sidmouth, has friendly and efficient staff and the food was exceptional.

We stayed at the Belmont for one night only. Paid the high price for the view out to sea. Sort of worth it for one night. Also had dinner and breakfast included, which saved us a lot of hassle finding somewhere good to eat, and the dinner was good and good value for money. My only gripe is the coffe served wasn't up to much.
