My wife and I stayed at Wowstayz Foothills Cottages, Pachmarhi for 5 days during August. View: The resort has wonderful view of the mountains on one side of dining area while the other has blooming mix of rose plants. The property has more than a dozen mango trees, several lemon trees, jamun (Indian blackberry) trees and amla trees. Food: We enjoyed an array of vegetarian food including hot parathas, idly, upma, poha, pulao, kadhi pakoda, veg kolhapuri and gobi matar served courteously by friendly staff. We had refreshing lemongrass black tea (MUST TRY) with hot pakodas. The food is exquisite and a top highlight of the resort. As a South Indian and an avid lover of upma, I was delighted to have tasty upma at Wowstayz. Hospitality: The staff members are very helpful, humble and effective. Mr. Govind in particular showed us around answering all our curious questions about the plants and trees around. He proactively collected feedback after every meal. I truly applaud the level of commitment of the staff members. We had a delightful conversation with Mr. Neelesh about his experience with the forest and tigers. Cottages: The room is spacious with a firm king size mattress, electric kettle, TV, AC, solar heated water. Amenities: We spent long hours swimming in the open pool facing the mountains. We were lucky to have a light rain while at the pool. Open pool during monsoon invariably attracts lot of insects. The staff clean upon request. There is provision for campfire, badminton and swing for adults. Sight seeing: Pachmarhi is a beautiful delight for a Nature lover. An open gypsy ride over the hairpin curves, cool breeze admist trees was a treat by itself. Visiting Apsara and Silver falls is quite a strenuous trek into the forest making it worthwhile. Bee falls provides cool water with natural fish spa. Gupt Mahadev provides an unique experience into a narrow cave! Wowstayz is undergoing further renovation. Many more fruiting and flowering tree saplings were stacked to further enrich the place.
