ザ ハイドアウト シーギリヤ(The Hideout Sigiriya)

Enjoyed our stay at The Hideout. It's ideal for exploring Sigiriya and the staff and food is top notch. The pool is large and spotless. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

The tree house was an Great experience. We recovered at the pool and enjoyed the rest with the good view. unfortunately the food is not good and we also heard the microwave going. the disadvantage is that there is not another restaurant in the area.

Honestly, this might be my new favourite place in the entire world. Living in a treehouse in total peace and great views - plus furnished nicely including with airconditioning (important given it's in a warmer part of the country). Also has a swimming pool to cool off and relax. The friendly staff, led by Maya, go above and beyond to be helpful - and they cook up a fantastic Sri Lankan style breakfast and dinner. Lion Rock is just a short drive away as well. Can't wait to return one day.

Great location and great staff. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and the pool very nice. We stayed 3 days and could see monkeys and peacocks, the view is stunning you wake up and see the rice fields.. very romantic. Sigiriya “City” Is only a Short tuktuk ride away and the bus to kandy goes around 5 min down the road from the location. Overall it was good but for us it was really sometimes challenging because of the cockroaches in the bathroom and a frog in the toilet(that came back three times!!!) Sometimes also the power goes off. Anyways I think it would be unfair to give it less than 4 stars because everything else was fine and this was just something our “European minds” aren’t used to. Also the hygiene and cleaning standards are different but that’s what you find everywhere you go i guess. So if you don’t like insects/cockroaches inside the room it’s not for you. It you like an extraordinary place to stay you should definitely go. Btw we were in the tree house :)

We have stayed here one night(HB) and it was a really nice experience for our family. Hotel management(Mrs Sujatha and Mr. Ranjith) was really helpful during our stay and they were very flexible with the room allocation and meal plans for us. The staff is really friendly. We had simple Sri Lankan meals and they were fresh and delicous. We were in deluxe rooms in ground floor and they were nice and clean. Sigiriya(Lion Rock) is just a 15 minutes drive away from this place. We were able to climb the rock in early morning and then had our breakfast. I would recomend to climb the Sigiriya early morning if you can as its less crowd and low sunlight in the morning time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who love to explore Sigiriya ancient city while experience international level service and accomodation in this beutiful place for an affordable rate. We stayed here for 2 nights with our family. It was a beautiful and peachful area. The staff were all so friendly. Especially manager mr maya. He did took good care of us. He is very kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable . Also there is a nice and clean pool, that was perfect to cool down and lay down for a rest. The breakfast was nice! On the day of departure he showed us the vegetables and fruits overthere which get planted by themself. It was a amazing stay for a roadtrip. We would recommend it to other people!

Super friendly staff and an incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable manager. Hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Perfectly located. Peaceful, tranquil, great pool, plus a view of Lions rock from a cute treehouse style viewpoint. Great stay.

We had just walked up Sigiriya Rock, and were greeted with a nice cold welcome drink on arrival. The pool was great to relax by with a Lion beer (or two) after such a busy day. We went up to the viewing platform where we played cards, it had amazing views over the rice fields, lots of peacocks stopped by before the sunset. The breakfast was by far my favourite in Sri Lanka, I've never had such amazing pancakes!! Thank you for a great stay!!

The hotel is very badly maintained! The pool area is dirty, barking dogs walk around (6!!!), very dirty washroom at the pool. The pool beds and kusje a were dirty. Dog pooh on the gras. The restaurant area was not cleaned! The staff was watching TV. The breakfast and diner was not very nice. Coffee was like water. We had the Family Tree Hut was okay, but dark and shabby. The only nice thing was the view from the Family Tree Hut!
