Price too high for this hotel, small room, food were cold and there was construction outside the balcony!

We requested them to provide anniversary cake through trip.com request options. But they didn't provide us. Otherthan this everything is good.

This was our First stay at the Dusti Thani Himalayan and our fourth visit to Nepal in the past 10 years. One word to describe the newly opened Dusit Thani – WOW! Super impressed and very, very happy with our stay Overall I’d highly recommend this resort, especially for families with young children. about staff They were absolutely incredible, so kind, and friendly - from the front desk(Radhika ), to the Deavarana wellness ( Rashmi , Anil), housekeeping, pool and restaurant (pritika) servers. We were amazed by how truly outstanding the staff were, as this typically is not the case at large resorts, and it makes such an impact on your stay. Major kudos to the Resort InCharge Ajoy Biswas. Room is beautiful, comfortable and functional. Very clean when it came to room views. We could very clearly see large Himalayan view from our balcony every single day.

We just had the most amazing 4 nights in Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort! The moment we arrived, it felt like we are in a different world. The resort is less than a year old and it exudes luxury. While the resort is not big, it has an infinity pool that gives you full unblocked view of the Himalayas, gym, spa, restaurant and bar. 1. Room We have a Himalayan view room and we love it! The size of the room is generous and with a lovely balcony that faces the mountains. Unfortunately for us, we never did get a clear view of Himalayas during our trip. We also attempted to see sunrise from the room’s balcony. It was partially blocked by the trees but it was still gorgeous. 2. Food While there is just one restaurant on site, we had all our meals there and didn’t feel a need to eat anywhere else. The restaurant staff were awesome, taking fantastic care of us. We tried Nepalese, Indian, Thai and International in the 5 days, and we always ended up too full to get dessert (which is a shame as they have a good dessert selection too). We did give feedback that they should try to bake their breads daily as the breads can get stale after a day or two, but it’s a minor thing given all the great food we were having. There are simple local eateries around 5-10min walk from the resort but we didn’t get to try those. 3. Experiences Probably as the resort is new, they didn’t have much itineraries that guests can choose from. However once AJ, the Guest Experiences Manager, learned that we’re looking for things to do in the local area, he quickly pulled things together to fill our 4 days. We did a walk to Namo Buddha which is the most famous landmark in the area, a walk around the local trekking trail, a visit to an old Newari village Dapcha and one of the oldest towns in Nepal, Panauti. Anil, who were with us on 2 of the trips, was sweet and knowledgeable of the local area as he’s a local! 4. Spa We also did a couple massage while we were there. The therapists were professional and gave us a good stretch after all the walking! I would love to be back one day and hopefully get to finally see Himalayas in its full glory. We came from London and are frequent visitors to Nepal where my wife is from. Finally we found a true luxury resort that does justice to the awesome Himalayas that surround Dusit Thani. Nepali and Thai culture, cuisine, architecture and hospitality fuse effortlessly here. You must try the cheese platter, all made locally with French expertise. The essence of Buddhism casts across the valley from the nearby Namo Buddha shrine & monastery - one of the three holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal. It infuses the Wellness Centre, and the personalised compassion of all staff. The design features, especially the room details, inspired us. As a family, we leave with memories of a simple, yet deep experience of exploring Nepal, ourselves and each other.

This resort does not even value the guests emails. We were supposed to celebrate my son’s birthday there and we have not received email from the marketing manager yet. What kind of ridiculous management is this? Cater to local resident guests first before bragging about a big international chain. So disappointed!

im first time visit but it feel like my home town. because here is so great hotel. service, foods, location, etc... im sure i want to introduce some people who want to make great time with nature place . specially i want to say thank you to Nabin, Ishant, Sandeep .

We went to Thaan restaurant for dinner. The food was great and the ambience was wonderful as well. I, however, have to mention Pritika, our hostess for the evening. She was very welcoming and friendly. She helped us choose our table, since we had a 20 month old baby with us. Overall, she was very attentive and great with our child as well. The food was good too. We ordered momo, crispy prawn, Thai fried rice, baby chicken, to name a few. Everything was exquisite. Will definitely come back.

The resort is beautiful. It is on top of a hill, with amazing views. The hospitality is great. The team is always ready to help, the cuisines were yummy, and the rooms are very comfortable. They have morning and evening wellness activities worth joining.
