This place is beautiful and they treat you like family! The night manager is super helpful and full of great information on the area! The rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean right from your room! Perfect for looking at the sunrise!

Excellent welcome and hospitality. The breakfast is really good. Very calm and relaxing . Everything is ok except no wifi in the bedroom.

Apart from the Manor being a stunning building, the hosts were very kind and helpful, the staff were all friendly and efficient and the stunning views from every area in the Manor , was a great treat! I loved the breakfast selection. I will definitely go back there and tell my friends about this venue!

We had a lovely time here. This is a family run Hotel and is more of a laid-back beach hotel. The rooms are spacious and nice. Bathrooms are quite modern. The beach is right outside the hotel and baboons are frequent visitors. Staff, including the owners are very nice and friendly Negative: Rooms have an old unkept feeling. Bathrooms have no water pressure; the shower is just trickling out. Parking is inside the hotel grounds, however very tight, narrow and up a very steep incline. Was easier to just park outside in the street Very steep stairs to get even into the hotel. Breakfasts are limited selection, no buffet. Staff very friendly

It was probably at one time a great place but our experience was dreadful. Not clean, total lack of management and staff interest and we left early. It was ruining our time away but we found a fantastic place just a few minutes away and were so happy and relieved and had a great stay in Simonstown. Locals told us that owner/management is the problem as location is great!

We had a wonderful stay at the Whale View Manor and Spa. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, the view on the ocean…. . Everyone is very helpful and really nice. The guesthouse is really quiet and peaceful, you sleep hearing the ocean waves.

We stayed at whale View Manor the 3 rd time and it was great again. Wonderful location very close to the small beach, beautiful and clean rooms and nice and helpful hosts. We loved it very much again and will return!

This review relates directly to the SPA at Whale View Manor. The experience for all four of us family members was most undesirable! We booked months in advance for a pre-wedding family Nail Spa treat for the bride of the family, we were looking forward to the experience. A special mention was made that the nails were for the wedding day! We contacted the Management with concerns about our booking after reading some concerning reviews about the Spa. We were assured by Management that all would be good and there was nothing to fear. The quality of the treatment was below all standards we have ever experienced. One of the family members cancelled her treatment as soon as a botched attempt to soak off gel left her in tears. The choice of sub-quality nail products was dismal. We left with dignity but saddened that the bride's spoil was "Spoilt" for her wedding day!

One of the best accommodation views ever. Hostess and staff were friendly. Spectacular breakfast and coffee. Beautiful beach right across the road. The downside for me was the inability to connect to the WiFi or any Internet for that matter in the area. Note that they do not provide any meals other than breakfast so if you are not able to order something online or book an uber to collect you to go somewhere you are stuck. It is a must to have a car in this area. Perhaps just a little attention to detail....we did not have a bin in our bathroom and didn't receive pods for the coffee machine every day. Other than that was a really beautiful Homely venue with a good choice of wine.
