Tintswalo at Boulders Boutique Villa is one of those places that makes you wonder if you’ve accidentally wandered into a travel magazine spread. Perched just above Boulders Beach—with its charming waddle of African penguins—the villa blends coastal chic with laid-back luxury in the best possible way. Each suite has its own personality (named after old-world ships, no less), and the whole place feels like it was designed for slow mornings, ocean gazing, and feeling like you’ve got the best seat in the house. The spaces are ridiculously comfortable—think plush linens, dreamy views, and cozy corners perfect for reading or sipping something bubbly. But what really seals the deal is the staff. They're warm, welcoming, and effortlessly attentive, striking that magical balance of being there when you need them without ever hovering. You can tell they love what they do. Of course, staying somewhere this special is a real treat—and Tintswalo doesn’t shy away from that. It embraces the idea of taking a deep breath, unplugging from the rush, and soaking up the privilege of being in such a stunning, soul-soothing place.

Stayed in the watch witch room. Beautiful large balcony overlooking the ocean and penguins. Clean and very comfortable. Lovely fireplace. Our boys stayed in the room across from us. Great black out blinds. Just a beautiful property. One note about our room is that the ceiling is high and the bathroom is not separate with the ceiling. Shower a bit tight. Did not bother us at all but may for others. We had dinner there and breakfast - absolutely delicious! It’s not fast because they cook it to order. Lovely sitting on the deck for breakfast. Staff was so nice and helpful. You are steps away from the penguins.

We had an incredible stay and are planning on returning. The location is perfect for seeing the penguins and walking along the boardwalk to view the penguins. It is an easy drive to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. All of our meals were fantastic especially our breakfast at sunrise on the deck. We appreciated the selection of wines available for dinner. The entire staff was so helpful during out stay from helping with our bags at arrival and departure, to recommendations for things to do in the area, to the hospitality offered during our say.

My 3 generation family loved our stay at Tintswalo Boulders. I love staying in small boutique properties that feel more like a private home than a hotel. The rooms were huge with stunning views of the ocean from every window. The children, ages 7, 9, and 11, could safely be in their rooms while the adults were still finishing up their meal. Food was excellent and service was personalized. With its close proximity to Cape Point, we were able to experience both the Point and the Cape of Good Hope long before the tourist busses arrived. Service and accommodations were excellent!
