ビッサススイーツ(Byssus Suites)

We had a one night lovely stay at Byssus Suites. Lovely staff and very beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms. A short and flat walk to the centre of Ortygia and we enjoyed being a little out of the centre as we could enjoy less "touristy" dining options too and from the hotel. Hotel has free parking behind which was a bonus for us with a car but you first need to pull up out the front so they can direct you to parking (this can be easy or difficult depending on the time you arrive). Breakfast is at next door restaurant and was lovely with freshly squeezed orange juice. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the Byssus suites for 3 nights at the end of Oct and highly recommend the hotel for luxury accommodations at a slightly softer price point than hotels in Ortigia. We found the accommodations comfortable, well located between Siracusa landmarks and Ortigia, with friendly helpful staff, and a wonderful restaurant too. We stayed in a classic suite which had a lovely sitting room and a separate king bedroom - it was wonderful to have the space to spread out in at the of the day. The breakfast was next door in the restaurant/fish market Onda Blu (we missed the option that they offered ala carte breakfast items) but the buffet was plentiful. Dinner at the Onda Blu was delicious - make sure you try the muscles which is the foundation for the operation. The 5-10 min walk to Ortigia took us through a local neighborhood with many restaurants that felt alive and safe when walking even very late at night, and there was a great Gelataria next door. Ortigia was amazing, but it was nice to retreat to a quieter location at the end of the night. We highly recommend this hotel for those seeking comfort, a larger room, and personalized attention.

If you are looking for a Beautiful design hotel? This is it , it has these design Flos lamps in the whole hotel . 👍 Very clean hotel . Very helpful and most friendly staff. They do everything for you to make you happy. Also breakfast is very complete: eggs, pancakes, bread, fruit,yoghurt, juices, vegetables, mozzarella, prosciutto… amazing And there is free locked safe parking behind the hotel. If you are looking for a restaurant the Astrutto restaurant nextdoor is supergreat . Otrigio city is very lovely and close by , nice to go there with the bikes from the hotel! 😍

Byssus Suites are situated in the port area of Siracusa in a completely renovated building which offers style, luxury and comfort. Our suite was spacious, beautifully decorated and, along with a very comfortable bed, offered a private steam room which we loved. Breakfast was served in the building next door which is part of the hotel and also contains a fish shop and excellent restaurant. There was a big selection of food offered for breakfast, individually prepared eggs etc. and excellent barista coffee. The car was parked in a protected space behind the hotel but we were able to come and go as we pleased. we walked to the old area of Ortegia on the first day which was a long walk but well worth it. Siracusa is a fascinating city and this was a great base from which to explore it. We ate in the restaurant three times because the fish was outstanding. There is also an excellent family run restaurant on the other side of the hotel which we loved for both the food and the welcome. Great hotel with very helpful staff.

Some places claim to be luxe or upmarket but Bysuss Suites truly is Luxe ! Undoubtedly the best place stayed at during 6 weeks in Europe. Beautifully appointed and decorated spacious suites within easy walking distance of Ortigia Excellent breakfast - and wonderful staff

The hotel was clean and modern. The staff was very polite and attentive. My only criticism is it wasn’t located in a great part of town. It was safe, very close to the police station, but it is a little away from the more desirable parts of town.

I would highly recommend the Byssus Suites. The room was very nice and clean. The area is quiet and close to all attractions and easily walkable. They also have a private parking lot if you drive in. The hosts were excellent! The fish market with restaurant next door is excellent. Thanks for the great hospitality!

This hotel is just amazing! From the kindhearted owner (Valentina) to all the stuff: soooo friendly and lovely. They do everything for the satisfaction of their guests! And they do it with passion and love. The a**osphere is like in a family, so you feel comfortable from the very first second you step in. The whole hotel is established in a very elegant and stylish way. Our room was very new with a modern touch and climate. It also had a sauna and a very good bed. It was perfectly clean and we just loved it! My girlfriend also had her birthday on out arrival day, so i asked santi (this guy has a god given talent for his job, i was just speechlees), on the reception to organise something. He and Emmanuele did their best and gave my girlfriend an unforgettable day: with roses on our bed and champagne! Then the breakfast, what was incluced in the price is just incredible! You find everything that you want, from fresh orange juice, different egg variations, lots of bread, cheese, salami, crudo, vegetables, fruits, etc. Also many and tasty vegan options. I also had pancakes and they were sooo delicious! I highly recommend this hotel for everyone. The service is outstanding, the food is worldclass and the hotel itself is just perfect! Thank you very much❤️ We will definitely come back again!

Love this new boutique hotel! Great design, spacious, modern, gated parking, amazing air conditioning, great bed and pillows, the staff is amazing. Emanuel is super helpful and a great host and he is very nice! We decided to stay longer because he was so nice and this hotel is so comfortable. They have a nice restaurant next door with a great complimentary breakfast. This hotel is approximately one year old and they have put a lot of thought into all the details. The area of the hotel is not our favorite but if you have a car it’s a short drive to Ortigia and there is plenty of parking there. You can find a parking garage and a large parking lot so we didn’t mind. If you are passing through Siracusa this is a great choice for lodging. Highly recommend!! And it’s well priced!
