ウッドムッズ(Woodmeads)

I was recommended The Modbury Inn by the daughter of a very old friend whose funeral I had to attend. Craig & Leah the owners made me feel immediately at home on such a sad occasion. Room was good & the bed was extremely comfortable. Craig made space for me with parking right in front of the Inn & the "Spread" of food laid on after the funeral was Superb as were the meals I ordered during the all too short visit to Devon.

Nice little pub up a side road, all typical of pubs these days. A bit pricey for their drinks so check what you are paying for. Its quite small so you may need to book Parking on the road outside which is a bit narrow

Excellent quaint hotel in the centre of Modbury. We were welcomed warmly & shown to a comfortable double room with a shower en suite. Adequate for our needs. The bar & restaurant were charming for a delicious dinner & breakfast with a good wine list Ti select from & cocktail’s available as well as a good selection of beers & ciders. A very pleasant Inn for an overnight stay before exploring South Devon

Lovely family meal with great service and great food. Sat outside for a drink then came in for the mains, good Wagyu burger, scampi, pork belly. Good variety on the kids menu and good sized kids portions. Restaurant was full on the night we were there which is always a good sign.

My friends and I were stranded after storm Betty hit us while trying to put up our tent in the evening but left us with a broken tent and feeling very wind swept. After ringing around all the local places to stay, even though the rooms were all full, Craig kindly let us sleep on his restaurant floor. We ended up listening to some brilliant live music, trying the famous Aloha 😋 and having a delicious breakfast in the morning!! A really welcoming pub with friendly locals and a really kind hearted host !!! Went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable - Thanks Craig and the rest of the family for letting us stay with such short notice!!!! 🍻🍻

Superb food, friendly service and very attentive. Felt like a real treat but at a reasonable price. Going back again in a few days so would definitely recommend. Excellent menu selection, spoilt for choice.

We’ve just had a marvellous stay at Woodmeads ( 3 nts ). Lovely en suite room, all very clean and tidy, Neil was excellent not only as a host but chef as well, the breakfast lacked for nothing and we were full for the rest of the day. Would highly recommend and be pleased to stay again in the future

From our arrival we were so well looked after,we were staying because we were attending a wedding at Shilstone House, Neil and Margaret went above and beyond to make our stay a great one, clean comfortable rooms and a living room and lovely garden to sit in too, fantastic feast at breakfast, nothing was too much trouble, there were 6 of us and our food was lovely and hot, one of our group was bridesmaid and had to be at the venue for 9am, so Neil kindly cooked her breakfast for 8am, bless him, what a star, would totally recommend, thank you so much , Kim, Clive,Jess, Des, Lucy and Chloe .

A lovely B&B on the outskirts of Modbury. Neil and Margaret are wonderful hosts and nothing was to much trouble. Our Room (3) was spacious with ensuite bathroom and Smart TV. Breakfast was great too. Very pleased.
