We visited The Mansion to celebrate a family birthday. We had lunch there. The service was just perfect and the food was delicious. The staff went above and beyond to help and catered for GF options. The setting is very pleasant and it is easy to park.

Visited The Mansion with close family for a Sunday lunch celebration for my Son-in-law’s 30th birthday . Hotel staff super friendly and very helpful . Dinner was in the pre-booked dome and our host Paris was exceptional and made the experience a very enjoyable one. Food was amazing on beautiful surroundings. Would recommend and most definitely visit again . Thank you all

We went here for a birthday meal. We were well looked after and as soon as the waiter found out it was a birthday meal he made lots of extra effort to talk about birthdays and look after us. A good selection of meals even for a quiet night in january with fish, meat and veg options availeable. Good selection of cocktails as well We managed to go on a special offer night so that was even better but would certainly not be a problem paying full price for the quality of food served.

Booked a surprise night away for my husbands birthday, our kids & family. Honestly it was amazing from start to finish. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful & also couldn’t do enough for you! The place is absolutely stunning and the food is incredible. We arrived on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and enjoyed drinks in the garden outside. That evening we had booked a private pod for dinner which I highly recommend, the food was amazing & it was a real lovely touch having the privacy of the pod. Our accommodation was stunning a beautiful apartment that overlooked the grounds. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. The hotel and grounds are super classy but what I loved most was this was a very family oriented place. We will be back and I will be recommending!

Had our 60th wedding anniversary at the Mansion.Best choice we made.The whole evening was terrific.Everyone said the food was excellent.Best staff you could wish for.Whole evening was memorable?Would thoroughly recommend the events manager and her team who organised the evening.

We visited the Mansion at Coldeast for dinner in one of their 6 pods. My parents took my family, as we were celebrating my husband’s and my 50th birthdays. We had a great evening, although it was a bit cold to start with. However Paris was great at arranging a heater and blankets quickly. Paris is a real credit to the Mansion, and he looked after 3 generations of us so well and took the time to engage with us and make us feel very welcome.

Booked a one night stay at The Mansion and a table for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. Grounds and building (from outside) are lovely. The room booking was for a King room. It was a very large room, small bathroom, spacious kitchen and TV area. Wasn't a king-size bed, but two twins pushed together. The room was clean and tidy, but the state of the decor was very poor, broken plaster, unfinished plaster around sockets, water damage stains on the bathroom ceiling, and loose tap in the kitchen. It's really shoddy for what, on the face of it, appears to be a class establishment. On the plus side, the restaurant experience was of the quality we'd expected as long-time customers of the sister establishment, Becketts in Southsea. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food and wine were excellent. We enjoyed bread and olives (although the quality of the latter weren't great), starters of bang bang chicken and pork belly bites, and both had the chicken supreme for main, enjoyed with a bottle of pinot noir. Breakfast was also excellent, also with friendly service. We would certainly eat here again, but we wouldn't recommend the hotel until they make significant improvements.

Lovely stay, staff were friendly, helpful and professional. A call out to Anna, Kate, Harry, Martin, Paige and Darren (sorry to those whose names we did not catch). We enjoyed various options for breakfast and it was always cooked and presented well, set us up for the day. Our apartment was quirky with high ceilings and a titchy bathroom.

You don’t expect a workman to be putting up pictures in the dining room when people are in there eating. This is what happened when we recently took our daughter for her birthday lunch. Drilling, banging. Leaning over a couple who were obviously in his way. The table next to us were complaining when we sat down and we complained but were told he had to fit it in his schedule. Surely there are enough hours in a day to wait for the dining room to be empty! We were moved to a lounge for our coffee but this room was freezing. As was the dining room. We won’t be back.
