ヴィラ シモーニ アパートメンツ(Apartments Villa Simoni)

Very convenient for trains and boats. Couldn’t be closer to the train station and the ferry terminal - logistically excellent. Friendly. And only a few minutes’ walk from the Diocletian Palace - so what more could you want ? Well there are OK kitchen facilities so good for self catering too and the balconies are quite spacious but then most details become mediocre. Nowhere to fix the shower head (and I stayed in 2 different rooms), nonexistent or poor shower curtain, dodgy WiFi and plenty of hot water in the tank for one shower but probably not enough for two. Very clean. Small bins. All in all OK but some deficiencies so not a special recommendation.

These apartments seem to be down out of the way from main Split but top tip, if able, you can cut across the train tracks and you are right on the marina! The rooms are basic, even though it seems like it's just down a back alley I loved the quirkiness of overlooking the train station with a nice enough view from the balcony into the distance. Staff friendly, they do lock the main doors at night so don't forget the key. Was a bit hard to find but soon got used to it once we got our bearings. Not expensive so if its just somewhere to lay your head whilst in Split it is perfectly fine, no luxury but clean etc.

The location was a short 5 minute walk to the Riva. There are 2 bakeries and two grocery stores about a 3 minute walk away. Very close to bus, train, and port. I enjoyed the large balcony. The room had everything I needed. Very convenient to have the mini kitchen and an extra bonus for having an ice tray! The towels here were very stiff. On occasion, I had problems logging into wi-fi but definitely not a deal-breaker. Everything was very clean and I felt safe there (female solo traveler). The air conditioning is fantastic.
