This was the absolute worse place I have ever stayed at. It’s being ran today by an unprofessional team of associates, they don’t know what they are doing. This place doesn’t even have a Registration desk, everything is being done at their restaurant bar counter. Most of the rooms DO NOT have AC, they don’t have TV’s, lamps- different color on each nightstand, not plugged in because there’s no plug available close enough… there are NO doors to the bathroom- it’s like in jails that you have seen in the movies. NO hairdryer in the rooms, there’s 1 cheap hairdryer for the entire property. Dirty/dusty floors, no closets/ no hangers. When I asked for some hangers - they brought me some - they were all rusted, dirty and dusty. It took me several attempts to even get password for their WiFi. There is not 1 decent aspect about this place. Beware, there are no railings, I fell and hurt myself badly, my knee and my elbows, nobody even offered to call an ambulance, when I asked for an ice pack - nobody new what I was talking about and eventually gave me a thin plastic bag filled with big chunks of ice …. awful, unsafe, unprofessionally managed- unmanaged, to be exact, dirty, dusty establishment. It needs to be completely shut down, renovated, remodeled, inspected by health depar**ent and safety/structural engineering crew before occupancy can be resumed

The staff was outstanding Maria as nd Nicole always there to help and very informative Outstanding waiters and bar staff Cleaning staff there every day We loved our stay there❤️❤️

OWith six cabanasur stay at Azure Del Mar was from 2-2/2-9 and was fantastic! It's the perfect small resort for folks who don't want the all inclusive scene. There are six cabanas and a couple of motel style rooms. The resort is spotless with beach racked daily, 100+ft pier, kayaks and paddle board, lounges and hammoks. Food and drinks can't be beat for breakfast lunch or dinner. Maria and the whole staff are friendly and will help arrange things you'll want to experience. Would recommend the Maya ruins, cave tubing, and inner reef fishing with Capt. Steven at Sea Horse Dive Shop: keep part of your catch for the resort chef and they'll make it for you. Price for the resort is reasonable and the people and service is great! Check their website and give them a call. You won't regret it!

Our one night stay here turned out to be great. Beach front, individual cabanas, pool, and a great restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The free airport transport to Placencia was a plus as well!

the property I lovely, staff is wonderful, restaurant is delicious. pool is a bit small and has limits hours which was a bit disappointing.

We will be back! This small resort is so charming and we can’t say enough about how wonderful, helpful and kind everyone on the Azure del Mare team was. The food was also excellent. Azure del Mare may not have all the amenities of the 5-star resorts, but it was as close to paradise as we’ve ever been!

I cannot say enough good things about this place...a gem for a solo traveler looking for something easy and relaxing. The service and staff were so nice and helpful and the vibe of the place perfect. I was looking for something on the beach that was not super crowded to unwind. The cabanas were great and met my needs, the beach was within a 30 second walk, the dock with the chairs became my resting place to just relax and read a book and the restaurant was really good from service to food. I appreciated that you could order food to your room. The bikes and kayaks were an awesome addition and I didn't need to rent a car. There is an amazing bakery within walking distance and I really did not need to leave the hotel for much. Wifi was really good, too, for those that want to stay connected. I often do not go back to the same place but if I need a place to relax and not plan something big, I would definitely come back here!

We booked a week at Azure Del Mar to celebrate our anniversary in August - apparently rainy season for Belize! Although we had to cut our stay short as the weather conditions became an issue during our first night, the entire staff was extremely kind and gracious (especially Maria at the front desk). We were welcomed with a personalized sign at the concierge desk and delicious fresh squeezed juice. We had dinner on the outdoor deck of the restaurant, which was great. When we had to checkout early based on the amount of rough weather, the staff was good enough to refund us for the entire stay, including the first night plus our meal and drinks. While the weather made it impossible to finish our reservation, we would absolutely return to see the wonderful staff and enjoy the spectacular accommodations; maybe during the dry season next time! Thanks to everyone at Azure Del Mar who made our (brief) experience a memorable one.

Lots of character and unique stay. The staff was very nice. They took us on a short tour of the property before dropping us and our bags off at our room. They seemed to be expanding while we were there. At least 4 more rooms with an ocean view.
