The Deli Manager was incredibly rude, unwelcoming and unaccommodating. Not only was she rude and disrespectful to us, she was rude and disrespectful to the staff who were being very helpful. We asked for an umbrella to be moved so we could avoid the sun, but that resulted in her confronting us. With a 9 month in tow it was a very reasonable request. Not even 20min later umbrellas were moved for a new table. Extremely disappointing.

Great, but some improvements could be made considering the room rates. Lighting switches in rooms are a mystery! Heating and coooing operation could be explained. Need magnifying make up mirrors in the bathrooms.

We had a wonderful stay at lanzerac and we will definitely be back! The spa facilities were amazing, we used the sauna everyday. We also loved walking around the neighborhood as it’s very beautiful. All the staff were very helpful and always went 110%.

This absolutely stunning establishment in the hills of Stellenbosch is unparalleled in beauty and facilities Magnificent Spoiled royally by their inability to produce dinner in a reasonable time Completely detracted from what is probably one of the finest Accom in the Cape For the huge price tag of staying the service at the restaurant needs complete overhaul

This hotel is so over rated! Our room was right next to restaurant. We heard noise , dishes clanging, hammering from 8 am to 8 pm. Then the doors and shutters rattle all night long in our room. We could hear the people talking in the next room. There are so many better choices in Stellenbosch.

We sought a hotel for our final stay for 3 nights before return travel to the US after 2 safaris. What a great decision to stay at Lanzerac! From individualized treatment, to wonderful breakfasts and dinners. Front desk staff were extremely helpful. Spent time at the pool which was also delightful and quiet (maybe because it was a bit cooler when we were there). Staff provide individualized attention to address any and all needs. The restaurant staff were interested in assuring personalize care and your happiness. The superb staff helped arrange travel to nearby wineries and also an all-day trip to the cape. We felt independent, yet well cared for and pampered. We continue to reminisce about how wonderful this stay was

We stayed at the Lanzerac for one night only. The premises are beautiful and the wine tasting experience was just incredible. The room was very stylish, beautiful bathroom and sitting area. And the minibar was for free …a fairytale experience.

Such a beautiful hotel. The pillow menu was truly extraordinary. Out of a movie! The pool was perfect. The wine tour is also very interesting and allowed us to try all the famous wines and pinotages the region created.

I've had the privilege of residing at Lanzerac Hotel and Spa whilst being on my nationwide book tour, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life. The attention to detail starts when you arrive with friendly staff who make you feel right at home, and as soon as you set foot in reception you know that you are starting this journey off with elegance. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated with everything that you might need to make you feel like royalty. The rooms are so serene and designed for your relaxation that it makes you feel like you are the only person on the property. The mini fridge is also fully stocked with Lanzerac wines and other beverages, and the snacks are sourced from local entrepreneurs. Lanzerac is also the first winery to use the word "pinotage" on their 1959 vintage label, and it shows. Enjoy a delicious wine tasting under the oak trees, in the tasting room or next to the vineyards and unwind. Be sure to make your way to the restaurant for delectable food options and to visit the spa. I'll definitely be back and thank you for all the inspiration that stemmed from your hospitality.
