ザ ロッジ ラヴィニール(The Lodge l'Avenir)

We had a lovely one night stay at L’Avenir, and enjoyed the beautiful grounds. We booked a double for ourselves and twin for our teenage boys and the lodge helpfully had us in adjacent rooms. The complimentary wine tasting was a lovely touch and the staff were incredibly helpful on all our requests, also accommodating an early breakfast the Saturday morning to help us get to the airport promptly.

A really beautiful experience, from our accommodation, to the wine tasting, the Boule, the pool, the stunning views of the lakes and vineyards, and the most amazing people who work there. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite, which had everything we needed on the inside. Our private outside area had a splash pool, an outdoor shower, and a quaint secret sitting area, just beyond the boundary wall. We had a most amazing evening. Breakfast was fantastic. We sat outside overlooking the pool and one of the lakes/dams below. All in all, an experience to remember

We had a most lovely stay at L’Avenir in Stellenbosch. Room was nice, surroundings beautiful and a very helpful and friendly staff. We’ve got all the help we needed to find our way in town and surroundings.

If in the Stellenbosch area and you are looking for a convenient, comfortable, professional place to stay, look no further than L'Avenir Country Lodge. The breakfast and lunch was also great and overdelivered for a business stay.

Stopped for wine tasting and platters - our host, Dine left a remarkable impression with her knowledge of not only the wines, but also the surrounding area and its offerings - this in all likelihood one of our best wine tasting experiences, because of Dine - the staff in general are of the friendliest ever experience - the platters were impressive, and we will certainly return - well done Dine.

In one word : Amazing ! From the incredible landscape to the fantastic quality of the room and the impeccable service, everything was beyond expectation. The wonderful wines tasted just completed this beautiful trip to perfection.

I came here with my partner for a peaceful, relaxed few days at the end of our holiday. Unfortunately, however, the vinyard decided to host a pop up cinema event at the same time as our stay, with 100s in attendance, a little over 10m from the rooms terrace. This did not end until 11pm with dance music blaring. This shows that the hotel thinks little of its guests and is more interested in profits from the pop up cinema. Other than that, the rooms are OK but need updating, especially the bathrooms, and the pool is dirty and unusable. The staff were great, but hard to get hold of, and the breakfast was homemade, simple and delicious. This, however, would not make me want to stay here again, and I'd advise others to stay elsewhere. The WIFI is also terribly slow.

Le site est à faire rêver. Situé dans un vignoble aux pieds des montages, le paysage est à couper le souffle. La chambre était très propre avec lit king et plusieurs rafraîchissements à notre disposition. À notre grande surprise, nous avions accès à une petit piscine privée. Un court séjour, mais ce dernier fut extrêmement plaisant pour amorcer notre voyage en Afrique du Sud. Prenez le temps de faire la dégustation de vin et si vous ne souhaitez pas sortir pour le souper, le lodge peut vous préparer un plateau de fromages, charcuteries, pains que vous pourrez déguster avec la bouteille de vin que vous vous serez procuré lors de votre dégustation en après-midi.
