Been twice in 1 week. Had the Sunday roast which was terrific and discovered skirlie. Very tasty. 2nd visit I had chicken with haggis bon bon and also amazing. My husband had the steak pie both times and said it was delicious. Recommend the raspberry cheesecake too.... it was so good. I got mine as a takeaway as was full Its a lovely place to eat and has good atmosphere. All staff were great. Absolutely will return

Location was good. Room was tiny, bed was awful… to hard, mattress has lost suspension so it felt like sleeping on concrete! There was a problem with the heating, no heat throughout. Staff suggested the radiators may need bleeding, they ended up bringing a plug in radiator which helped as the room was freezing. Staff were pleasant. Wouldn’t stay here again though.

Excellent food and service. Good range of dishes, catering for everyone. Food as amazing and so well presented. Cocktail menu and it would have been rude not to try one. I had, “the ruin” and it was very flavoursome. An all round great experience. I would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice quiet hotel with restaurant and bar downstairs. Easy parking and other food and drink option very close.

excellent service at reception, and bar / restaurant, and good value. Room was very small soprobablyone night was enough. very damp smell in small shower room, think there may be some plumbing issues. Reported on check out and I am sure they will investigate. Late afternoon street parking was a bit of a challenge.

Bedroom & ensuite was clean & very ‘cosy’. Bed was very comfortable. Scottish breakfast was plentiful & delicous.

Hotel stay was booked and paid for back in June. On arrival we were questioned about non payment of room and advised it was down to paying by Amex. Never used Amex in my life , lucky i had downloaded the ******* app to prove payment.

Popped in for breakfast this morning had a set menu for breakfast hubby had an omelette i had scrambled eggs & salmon and daughter had veggie breakfast was very nice food service was good lovely location came to about £32 with coffees tea & orange juice did the job !

We booked a sea view room and although room and bathroom were small it was comfortable ,adequate and the view made up for it ! Bed was soft but slept well in it .T.V was big so a plus there .Think if it was summer we would have needed to sleep with patio door open a bit as was the only window .Plenty hot water in a recently refurbished bathroom ,it's a shame the handle and lock on bathroom door weren't renewed, this let it down a bit .Ate in the lounge bar and food was excellent. Great vegan option .Breakfast was excellent with enough options so no complaints there. We would return to a sea view room again before the winter so we can sit and look at the sea before it gets dark .
