Beautiful hotel with amazing views of the lake

Elegant hotel on lakeside overlooking the Borromea Islands. The staff were delightful and couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was excellent in both restaurants. The room was small (side lake view) but extremely comfortable. There is a busy road between the hotel and the lake but traffic noise was cut out by the double glazing.

My partner and I could not find fault with our stay! Everything was done with a touch of class from the decor, to the cocktails/food and nothing (but nothing) was too much trouble for the staff. Setting a table by the lake to drink cocktails as the sun went down was simply the right thing to do. Wow! Simply wow

My husband recently whisked me for extended weekend to this amazing hotel. The hotel is little bit outside of Stresa but it does not matter at all as the hotel can arrange for a shuttle. The staff in the hotel is simply exceptional, one of the best I have experienced. The view and the amnesties of the hotel is really stunning! We will definitely be back here! Highly recommend!

Once we arrived, we felt like we were treated as royalty they went over and above to meet all our needs. The room beautiful and the view on the balcony were spectacular overlooking the lake and the Islands. The small town Stresa next to the hotel was not only beautiful the people are so friendly and welcoming. We cannot wait to go back.

The very first thing you’d notice will be the view of the mountains when checking in. It is amazing! The longer you look, the more magical it becomes. Despite the very cold weather, you can definitely feel the warmth and genuine care of the staff as they attend to our needs :) highly recommended!

If you are looking for an opulent hotel with amazing service and views I would highly recommend the Palazzo Aminta. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with friendly staff that was happy to assist. The rooms are well appointed and the restaurant has a view of all three Borromeo Islands. The hotel has a nice pool, spa and beach area to enjoy. While at the resort we met the hotel’s General Manager, Fabio, who is such an incredibly gracious host it’s no wonder that Italy (and from now on Lake Maggiore) is one of our top destinations.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but we had such a dreamy stay that I feel the staff and hotel deserve the praise. A true hidden gem, Villa e Palazzo Aminta has become one of my favorite hotels in Europe—and I have stayed at many. After a week in Switzerland, my boyfriend and I took the train back into Italy to better situate ourselves for our flight departing from Milan’s Malpensa airport the next day. I debated staying in the center of Milan but, after some research, I realized that staying in Stresa would actually be equidistant to the airport. So, I booked 1 night at Villa e Palazzo Aminta. This was the best decision I could have made, as our stay was absolute perfection. Our 24 hours at Villa e Palazzo Aminta ended up being a highlight of our entire 3-week trip. The service is top class, the surrounding views are stunning, the interior design of the hotel is outstanding, and the grounds are impeccable. Truly timeless elegance reminiscent of a bygone era. We felt so welcome. Additionally, Stresa is a charming and authentic town with cute shops and many great dining options. I look forward to returning for an even longer stay with my mom, simply because I want her to experience how wonderful this hotel is. You will not regret booking!
