Really liked this hotel, great room with nice bathroom and plenty of hanging space for clothes. Great facilities for snowsports (and biking). Lots of choice for a hearty breakfast. Good bar facility and the "bar snacks" are more dinner than snack. Only negative is that the bed mattress was too soft. Staff were really helpful and accommodating.

I really liked it here, came for a long weekend in winter season. Really good breakfast with a nice little twist where you can sort your own eggs. They think of everything right down to egg timers and iced water for them. The whole hotel is geared up for mountain sports in winter and summer and everything is geared around that , not the other way round. Has a great service area for your board and skis in the lobby, with every tool you could need and even all the gear to wax your board. Staff are all great and the rooms and hotel areas are meticulously spotless. It’s a short walk from the gondola or a long walk if you go Apres ski and then it takes longer to walk the same distance back😊 it’s just over the road from the zillertal train stop, so you can get there from Innsbruck in no time at all for a decent price. I will definitely come here again or try one of the other Explorer hotels as I feel you are in safe hands, all for a really good price. Thank you explorer hotel Zillertal

absolutely recommendable, only the singimng of the ski room could be improved. The offer a discount when you come by train - great initiative! All can be done by walking within 5 minutes (ski, train, supermaket, entertainment). Very good noise insulation.

Stayed for a couple night to go skiing. Nice and clan hotel, good facilities and good breakfast, also a lot of choice for breakfast. Really loved to have a spa after skiing. Lovely staff. Really easy to use the late check out when you are traveling by nighttrain.

Super service and a very flexible hotel! Lukas and Ben are great professionals and we could really count on them! They were ready to help us in all situations and always kind. The hotel was really nice, very tidy, nice working areas and good spaces to just chill. Food was good and breakfast was lovely! Also a thank you to Razima who also was very helpful! This is a budget hotel with excellent rooms, great facilities, good location, and friedly staff. The rooms are (almost, with the exception of disabled option) identical. Good shower, comfy bed, great wifi. The spa area is perfect for pot ski relaxation. The breakfast (you cook your own eggs!) is excellent and buffet style. There is a 500m walk to the Kaltenbach gondola, so I'd recommend using the locker service at the gondola station (80 euros for the week for a two person locker). This meant that the short walk back out of ski boots was much easier. The hotel is opposite the train station so access to other ski areas is possible too. All in all, for the money a great value location.

We loved our stay at the E xplorer Hotel Zilleftal. Perfectly situated, very friendly and helpful staff, and ideal location for skiing. We loved the breakfasts and the staff recommended the most amazing restaurants for dinner. Only discovered the spa at the end of the holiday-it’s awesome. Rooms are small, but very well laid out with everything you need. Will certainly be back.

Not the prettiest building from the outside, but once inside all is great. Lovely big rooms with extremely comfortable beds, sizeable bathroom and great views. We looked out over the road and railway, across the stream and up to the hills. Totally soundproof room - no traffic or train noise to be heard. Lovely staff, always helpful and polite. The breakfast is excellent - especially the egg station. Highly recommend, and great pricing too!

Pro's: Location across from railway station Kaltenbach and within walking distance to ski lifts (10 minutes). Practical and modern rooms. Friendly staff. Early check-in and late check-out were possible against a small fee per person (upon availability). Cons: The hotel staff were very strict in adhering to the terms and conditions of my reservations and they showed close to no flexibility when I requested to make some small changes, more than one month before arrival. When I asked to change the number of guests per room the rate would increase dramatically. The responses I received lacked a sense of pragmatism and hospitality and they did not make me feel as welcome as I would have hoped.
