Great property, staff friendly and helpful. Aesthetically pleasing layout and location in town. Rooms had all the necessities stocked

A warm welcome always awaits you at this guesthouse. Lovely characterful rooms each individually decorated but all overall comfortable and clean, most with a fridge /honesty bar and tea and coffee station . No dinner is served but there are many good restaurants in the nearby area. It is situated in a quiet left street ensuring a good nights sleep with well secured parking , and a tasty varied breakfast each morning on the patio overlooking the pool and the mountain.

Overall a good experience, a few little things stop it being a great experience. The grounds and swimming pool are really nice. We stayed in Bokmarienie (loft room) for 3 nights which was nice, but poor planning means that to turn on the toilet light in the night also lights up the sink area, which is about 10ft from the bed, could have been planned better. Breakfast is nice but always feel a bit frantic and on edge. I would stay here again if someone booked me here, but maybe wouldn't choose it myself. Overall I would stay this feels like a small hotel more than a guesthouse.

The TV remote didnt work, hardly suprising as the batteries were held in place by tic tac. The shower outlet was blocked resulting in a massive overflow, hard to see when yoiur actually showering, esulting in clothes and shoes on the floor being soaked. Most disturbing is the noise from the swimming pool pump through the night. Didnt bode well for a long drive the following day. Would have helped if there was staff on hand.

Great place for a short over night stop as we were passing through Swellendam. The place is clean and has all necessary facilities for travelers passing through. I wish the breakfast restaurant could open earlier than 7am as that delayed our departure. Limited but please staff especially the manager Franklin.

Lovely spacious, small hotel (12-13 rooms). Lovely gardens and views, great service, nice people. Set in a very quiet comfortable part of Swellendam and only 10 mins walk into the town. Would thoroughly recommend it .

Set in a leafy road with wonderful views this Guest House provided a superb setting for our one night stay whilst travelling the Garden Route. So much so we wished we had programmed in a few days more. The room was spacious and comfortable and our hosts were courteous and helpful. What more could you need.

Beautiful, quiet, great breakfast. Shops nearby, good restaurants in town, as well as plenty of outdoors to explore (nature reserve, etc.) We stopped for a night on our way out the Garden route to Addo Elephant Park. Wish we had planned to stay longer. This is a cute town, and the property is beautiful! Loved the large walk-in shower, and the comfy bed! Staff was very friendly.

Great space, beautiful setting, comfortable rooms and delectable breakfast. Staff were quick to assist and check in was seamless. The property is large with ample space, rolling lawns and a lovely pool area. Great for solo, couples, families or business trips
