I booked a “newly renovated” room. I figured that the property was probably undergoing restorations and was a work in progress but the fact that I booked a newly renovated room, I thought it would be OK for a one night stay. I didn’t expect the property to be a 5 star resort but I did not expect to find blood on the bathroom window sill, a pair of dirty socks beside the bed, an AC unit 2 inches from the bed or trash & debris alongside every bed and piece of furniture. No propane in the bbq or the fire pit. For the price tag I am incredibly disappointed.
Upon check in we were informed that the newly renovated unit was already given away so we could either have the three beds like we booked in an older room or a newly renovated 2 beds for the same price. She mentioned that she could give us the smaller room because the next guest hadn’t checked in yet. I thought, we’d hate to take someone else’s room that they were promised. We decided that we’d keep our room but after we were settling in for the night after returning from the lake, we found all of the above. Very ran down, and disappointingly gross.
I will never stay here again and think it’s only right to have a partial refund for the experience. Pretty sure the motel 6 would’ve been a better experience with a MUCH smaller price tag.
