We were looking for a hotel to relax and unwind in a tranquil setting and had a fantastic three nights here. Lovely room (overlooking the stables, one overlooking the garden would be even better), very comfortable sitting rooms and fabulous restaurant. The food and wine were really excellent. Sitting out in the garden was a great way to spend an afternoon after a walk on the moors. The gardens themselves are absolutely fantastic and we spent an hour or so wandering around each day - having a stretch of the Tamar on the doorstep was amazing. Massages can be arranged in the room and fishing can be organised on the Tamar - a must for next time!

We visited the gardens and stayed for a cream tea,the gardens are amazing with lots of waterfalls and gunnera passageways,such different gardens, The staff are out of this world,we felt like royalty,the hotel is like going back in time,1820 , The cream tea was amazing and was presented beautifully,

I booked a lunch for my wife's birthday and had the most wonderful time, super food, lovely people looking after us and made to feel so very welcome. We sat and had lunch in the library with the fire going so it was a perfect few hours

From the moment we arrived - to the warmest welcome from Adam Cornish, the general manager - to the moment we left two days later - in warm spring sunshine - the whole experience offered by Hotel Endsleigh was divine. Our room was wonderfully spacious and comfortable, the food was delicious, the wine list superb and the service from staff warm and friendly. One of the highlights was our walk around the incredible gardens on our last morning. My wife and I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

Went for a bday meal. Wow. Glorious day, so sat outside overlooking the valley. Service was very prompt, and I am impatient for a cold a beer in such places, so that was great. Wonderful meal. Three course for 67 gbp. Service and food exquisite. Great job. Will definitely be back.

A bank holiday, sun was out and wanted to show my guest the gardens with a lounch on the terrace as a treat. Suprisingly quiet when we arrived, yet the maitre de'hotel said it was busy. We ordered coffee and requested lunch menu, adked twice, eventudlly given the wine list, i questioned but was told 'its all in there' so i questioned self. We finally gave up and left the table to pay inside as he didn't return to table. We were charged a whopping £10.13 for two really poor coffees, and not even questioned. Not even a small shortbread or go with it. Price tag did not warrant the coffee. Next door table complained about their lunch so maybe why we didn't get the 'service'. Felt it was a disappointing visit, anticipated something more special. Especially especially after watching The Hotel Inspector with Alex Polizzis high standards. The gardens were beautiful though.

Came here today with my partner, and I have to say from the get go it was an enchanting visit. The grounds are gorgeous and the little birds wondering around are adorable. The staff were perfect and very accommodating for our little pooch. We came here for Sunday lunch, and I nearly ate the plate where the food was so good. Next time we will definitely book a room.

Our most favourite hotel of all just continues to develop and improve its service. This time we had the newly opened suite 21 in the stable block. We were delighted by the decor, the size of the rooms and the little touches like the amazing home-made biscuits, the range of teas available, not mention the huge bath and walk in shower. The food, as always, is exquisite and deserves a Michelin star or three. Spring lamb was on offer, typical of the way the chef always chooses seasonal menues. I must mention the wonderful staff who really are ambasdsadors for Olga Polizzi's sophisticated and timeless elegance which is Hotel Endsleigh. Nothing is too much trouble whether you speak to the porter, the reception staff or the young people who serve the food. Special mention this time for young Harry whose family are local and who wants to manage a hotel one day. With the training he is getting at Endsleigh, I don't doubt he will succeed.

Rather dissapointing. Went there with my daughter for Mothers Day. Our table for 2 was against a wall - entrance of our left - bar on right - another dining room opposite. Continous coming and going of manager, sub manager and staff past our table. Not at all restful. Food was mediocre.
