Absolutely professional service by all the staff especially front desk when we ran into some booking errors (on our end) which was resolved quickly. The views are beautiful. Little walk with the road and you can enjoy a little gondola ride down the mountain. Super cute. Can’t wait to go back.

On 9 August I booked a Junior Suite at this hotel for 21 - 24 November via **********. Payment was to be made on arrival at the hotel per the ********** website and as stated in the ********** travel confirmation. In early October, the hotel demanded I pay 50% of the cost in advance by bank transfer or the hotel would cancel the suite. I refused as I had no protection if something went wrong. During numerous conversations over several weeks, ********** took the side of the hotel even though the hotel had broken the contractual terms. A warning: that this hotel feels free to be able to change contractural terms (although no doubt they would hold the customer to the terms). And ********** sides with the hotel and not the paying customer.

DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS ON THIS PLACE!!! YOU will regret it. I had made a reservation well in advance for December 2023 and out of the blue the property cancelled saying their policies had changed only two months before my trip on high season. The reason: OVERBOOKING. I travel a lot and this only the second time that I have to deal with such a lack of consideration and respect. The hotel broke all rules stablished when booking through ******* and could care less about the trouble they have caused, not even an apology. They also went ahead and said that the reason for canceling was an issue with my credit card but they did not even run it so that they could find an excuse to cancel me. I am now going through the reviews and I see a lot of bad reviews, I am certain it fits this place and it is fair. I will also place a complain to the Taxco Business Bureau. Hotels that do business in this way should be kept in a close eye.

Small boutique hotel on top of the hill overlooking Taxco. Getting there up the steep hill is a bit tricky but totally worth it. 9 rooms total each with nice view, and each has a jacuzzi. Restaurant and full bar make this a special place for a romantic stay in Taxco.

Great place to enjoy Taxco beautiful landscape! Rooms are very well equipped and nice. Service level is very good, particularly the restaurant team. Food is also very good. Ask for the delicious chilaquiles with cecina!

Beautiful hotel .... with an amazing view of the city ... service was great ... food not so good

De Cantera y Plata is a small boutique hotel with only nine rooms on top of a hill overlooking Taxco. The views are stunning. Our room was very spacious with a view to the garden and the golf course green next to the hotel. The service at the hotel and restaurant was outstanding. I would highly recommend this hotel and would venture to guess it's the nicest hotel in Taxco.
