I would never use trip.com ever again. Regardless of savings they can never repay me after the poor service I received from every representative from trip.com. I spoke with the hotel that was willing to work with me over a booking issue but trip.com would not and made me pay for a room I never even used

Our flight got cancelled from Toronto, the night we were suppose to stay at the Valhalla, We called the hotel at 7pm to tell them we would not be needing the room that night and the front desk clerk said we should contact trip.com because it wasn't our fault and usually the third party would refund the room. So I did exactly what she said and was told by your people not to expect a refund. So if you are asking me about your service, I probably would tell you that I would not use it in the future and would not recommend it to anyone. Phil McAllen

Check out in the morning the woman was rude with me because I had difficulty hearing her due to the fact that I wear hearing aids. VIP amenity was also poor value

Clean pool area. Both times I brought my kids to swim there was a worker cleaning the washroom area. Sauna was great too. Our Friday night stay we were in a room right beside a team of teenagers who were very loud all night long. In the morning I asked to change rooms and was accomodated right away! This was my third stay and I know we will be back again.

Sevice when checking in was good. Room was good. Pillows ******. People in next room to me were up fighting all night and banging things, slamming doors, yelling screaming swearing. So i had no sleep and had a drs appt in the morning then had to drive 4 hours home so i was pretty tired. Then went for a shower and there was no shampoo. So when i checked out i told the front desk about it and she seemed to not give a care in the world only said that i should of called the front desk about no shampoo. I was already in the shower so wasnt gonna get out and call them to bring me up shampoo. It should of been filled prior to me checking into the room. No apologies nothing, so i will not be staying there again.

I loved that we were able to bring our fur baby. He was treated like a human guest. I will be staying at the Valhala again when visiting Thunder Bay.

Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was newly renovated and has great water pressure. Restaurant breakfast was delicious. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Sound proofing wasn’t great and could hear people in rooms above and adjacent. Overall worth the stay if you need a place close to the airport
