City Express Plus by Marriott Tijuana

The staff was friendly and courteous, but, The rooms lack furniture, there is no room for cell phones on the night table and toiletries in the bathroom, our first room was flooded with the shower water and the moved to a 2nd room which wasn’t clean enough, the 3rd room seems ok but upon close inspection there were hairs in the bathroom area, I asked to have it cleaned but instead more hairs appeared. I gave up after that. Will not recommend will not stay at City Express again I took pictures but will not post they are disgusting.

We enjoyed our stay, it was clean except for some dust bunnies under the table and for some odd reason we didn’t have any hand towels or bath towels but we did get them right away after we called the desk. Other than that it was great. We would definitely book there again.

Check in time was at 3:00. However my room was not ready until 4:00. Pros: it’s a new hotel, the bed was comfortable and I felt safe here. Parking was free, and the continental breakfast was really good,

The property is centrally located for the purpose of this trip. Most of the staff is very friendly. There are some that show in their faces they would rather be some place else. However, if spoken to they would speak back. The breakfast left much to be desired. After hours coffee was way overpriced and it was no Starbucks quality. The first room we were assigned had a large hole in the bathroom above toilet stall light. However, they moved us to another room right away upon learning of the problem. I have stayed in other City Express properties and this one definitely needs some improvement.

i had to rooms reserved going to a wedding had asked to please let us check in early for at least 1 room. i did speak to the hotel told them i needed to check in early. got there they were not allowing to check in before 3pm i had a wedding to be at 330pm i needed to get dressed i got there @240pm asked to please let us just get 1 room it was 20 min before check in they were not flexible at all did not even try to help there was 8 other people waiting to check in so i had to wait till all other 8 people were checked in to be able to check in myself i was furious tried talking to person in charge no help i cant believe that all rooms got available all @3pm impossible i am a local visitor but after this i dont think i will stay there again

It was my first day at this property, and I was really impressed by the condition, professionalism and cleanest of the rooms and property. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast, and the property has very easy access to a lot of good restaurants and shopping. Our stay at this hotel was great.

For one night it’s ok. Staff at the reception was good, they gave us a silent room, but I’m disappointed with the cleaning, considering is a Marriott I really thought was better for the money we payed. Room 820, floor was dirty, fan in the bathroom didn’t work, no hangers in the bathroom for the towels, towels dirty, linens dirty, looked like they did a 2 minutes cleaning, after I complained with the reception in the morning she answer that is cleaning lady problem and that she is sorry. Great customer service guys, we won’t come back.

My room was never serviced the second day just the towels we’re removed nothing else,I was out most of the day . I come back about 8pm .

Overall the experience was good, staff are not the most welcoming. It is an awkward set-up: lobby is on the second floor.
