They had an event that was so loud that I could hear it through my ear plugs and wall on another floor. I called to ask to turn it down and they said there was nothing they could do and it wouldn’t be going all night. The noise did not stop until around 1am and I had to be up by 5am. Poor customer service.

Unfortunately the Abbey Sands Hotel was closed for the winter so we were transferred to the sister hotel which is The Grand Hotel, having said that we had a lovely time there. Would definitely stay there again.

Friendly helpful staff. Room good size clean. Only problems tiolet did not flush very well. Water not very hot for shower. Great location plenty of buses. Easy parking for car.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a shame there was no restaurant or bar at this hotel. Its not quite the same having to walk/drive to the sister hotel up the road!

We had a family room (116) and we’re very pleased with it. It had 2 bedrooms (a double and a twin), a large bathroom with both a bath and separate shower as well as a small lounge area in the twin bedroom. It suited us well as we were with teenagers. It wasn’t very far to walk to the harbour or into town, probably 5-10 minutes depending on your pace. Can’t comment on food as we didn’t eat there.

Absolutely brilliantly located hotel, just two minutes walk to the seafront. Car parking is a bit tight but we did manage to get parked. Room was a decent size and nicely laid out. Only slight gripe was the price of the breakfast so we instead went to the beefeater over the road which was significantly cheaper.

We paid £100 for one night the bar was shut the hole time swimming pool was so cold only stayed in for 20 minutes the dust in the room was about 2 months old blood dots on our sheets would not recommend

Abbey sands was great value for money. Excellent location and spacious comfortable room. But best of all the customer service was wonderful. The reception was so friendly and welcoming and the cleaning lady was kind too. I asked for a hand brush as I had a two year old with me and they obliged. The changing areas for the pool facilities could be better and it would have been nice to have a fan or sitcom but overall as mentioned we really appreciated the hospitality and had a relaxing happy stay. Thank you to the staff who made the holiday such a pleasant one.
