Jardin Malanga

We spent our first night on our first trip to Guadeloupe here. Raphaëlle and Emilien made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. We ate a dinner and breakfast here, and Emilien went out of his way to create a personalized menu for one of us who has a gluten allergy. The property and views are beautiful. Our room (in one of the gîtes up the hill from the main house) was elegant and clean. We only stayed one night before moving on to Les Saintes the next morning, but we enjoyed our brief stay here very much.

Le Jardin Malange is an amazing small boutique experience that doesn’t disappoint. Each night Chef prepared a unique 3 course culinary experience made with local whole foods. Catering to special dietary needs was no problem. Breakfast was also amazing - fresh juice, warm croissants, yogurt, fruit and cheese. I loved not having to make decisions about our meals. Our hostess and chef made us feel like family and they took great care of my family during our stay - we didn’t want to leave. We stayed in the cabins and they were perfect - each had a beautiful covered porch, with hammock and recliner deck chairs and an epic view of the ocean. At night the tree frogs sang us to sleep. If you love nature and want an authentic boutique experience this is the place.

Our stay here was perfect from start to finish. We were looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I’d had an unfortunate accident the day before leaving me on crutches. They couldn’t do enough to help, changing our bungalow to a more accessible one and allowing us to drive up to it. The accommodation is good. A large comfortable bed, bathroom and covered terrace with amazing views. You can while away a few hours relaxing there. Alternatively, the terrace at the main house is perfect for pre-dinner drinks. The infinity pool, although not large is wonderful and has the most amazing views. The continental breakfast is ample. Dinner is one serving and a 3 course set menu cooked by the chef using local ingredients. It was wonderful. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Le Jardin Malanga is a welcome oasis away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life or even from the busier tourist areas of Guadeloupe. From my arrival to departure, Raphaelle, the director made every effort to ensure that I had the best possible holiday experience. I loved spending time on my balcony overlooking , the beautiful well maintained tropical garden. The food was excellent and every meal was a culinary delight and beautifully presented. Emilien’s went out of his way to prepare delicious meals for my vegetarian friend. I was particularly impressed by the warmth and care that we received from all staff at the hotel. If you are looking for a relaxing time in beautiful surroundings then Le Jardin Malanga is the perfect choice.

This is a gem of a hotel, one of the best I’ve stayed in. Rooms are well equipped & comfortable. Mine was overlooking the beautiful Caribbean garden and the sea. The vegetarian food prepared for me by Émilien the chef was amazing. All the staff were friendly & helpful But as well as the food the reason why Le Jardin is so special is because the director, Raphaëlle is special. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She pays attention to detail and makes her guests feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Beautiful resort hotel with a pool and incredible views . Breakfast with michael is great but it’s the same food everyday they need variety

We returned to Le Jardin Malanga for a week's holiday over Christmas, for the second year in a row. And we have already reserved for the same time next year! Perhaps that says it all. We love this place. If you want to explore the Basse Terre half of Guadeloupe, this resort offers the perfect base. But for us, it is an oasis where we can relax and read, "away from it all" as they say, We see no reason to go anywhere. Certainly, you won't find better food anywhere in Guadeloupe. The dinners every evening are always a highlight of the day. The special Christmas Eve dinner is a tour de force. Chef Riccardo and his partner Helena, the general manager, are the perfect hosts. The owners of Le Jardin Malanga must feel very fortunate to have such fine people in charge of their property. I simply cannot recommend this place too highly - it is more than worth the price. Just look at the photo taken from the front porch of our cottage!

Lovely small notice hotel in a very secluded area. We stayed in one of the 6 bungalows within the grounds of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, the bungalow was spacious with a large bathroom, however, the pathway to get to the bungalows is extremely steep. We did not have an evening meal so cannot comment. Overall if you want a very quiet stay with not a lot to do would highly recommend.

Our overall experience was OK but honestly speaking, I would have expected a higher quality service for the price paid for our stay in terms of staff, food and all the details in between. For example, the manager wasn’t very hospitable, the pool towels were worn and dated, the dinners were so so albeit well presented, the fruits served at breakfast didn’t taste good, they served Prosecco instead of champagne at the Christmas cocktail. The quality isn’t up to the standard that it should be and therefore I wouldn’t recommend it unfortunately, at least not at those prices.
