After staying at Hanaholmen near Helsinki- a similarly priced hotel with a thousand times more charm, a free sauna, and air conditioning- this place was a let down in most ways, but there are a few good things. Service was very nice and helpful. (E.g. they let me put leftovers from dinner in their fridge overnight to take the next day). Its location is good. Parking is €14 per day, which is not bad to make sure your car is safe. That said, there are only about 10 spots adjacent to the hotel. The first day we got a spot but the second we did not. I was told I could not park in the open area in front of the hotel but later saw all the cars had “Centro Hotel Parking” papers so I don’t understand why I couldn’t park there. There is another garage you can park in for the same price. Room was clean. Doors use old school keys rather than a key card. I only received one key for two guests. No big deal but it may affect you. The window only opens a little bit which is disappointing. There was a ceiling fan but at medium and high speeds ours squeaked terribly. With the curtain closed to block the endless summer light, little air could get in the room. Before bed I propped the door open to get a draft. The room stayed very warm at night as a result. Oh, and there was no box of tissues in the room! Strange. Bathroom is tiny but shower pressure is good. Walls are thin- I could hear the guest (probably a man) in the next room peeing in his toilet. Towels are fluffy and soft. Pillows are a little flat and mine was smaller than a standard American one! I asked for a second pillow for the second night and the one I got was actually bigger. Strange. Breakfast was good and filling. There were American-like cereals in addition to oatmeal, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, fruits, breads, jams, a few veggies, and a couple of small pastries. In short, the value for this place is questionable if it’s warm outside.
Two nights stop over in Turku. Börs is legendary hotel and renovated nicely. We had a upper floor room and there was hardly any noice from the street. Market square is right next to the hotel and local bus stops are near. Great location to visit must see places in Turku like the church and Turku castle. Breakfast is amazing. The other side was closed due to private event so the breakfast hall was quite crowded, but it was worth it. You get to go a long way before you need any snacks after breakfast. They also have a roof top terrace bar, nice view over the city center. If you come by car, there is a spacious parking hall under market square with access to hotel. Strongly recommend this hotel while in Turku!
The room started flooding after a storm. Almost 1/4 of the room was covered in water. Coming from the ceiling of the roof. Had to change rooms at almost 3am. Manager’s answer: it’s an old building being renovated, it was a big storm. So much for a “luxury hotel”. I got refunded but was an awful experience. Needless to say I will not be returning.
ゲゲストTorture! Worst ever experience! Avoid it at any cost! I asked beforehead that I could check in late because my plane arrived after midnight. They ensured me that I could use the code they gave me after online check-in. Just to realise, I can't enter. I called the number from the door where I needed to wait a lot, after I talked 1 hour with the phone assistant and they took me stupid...Am I sure I'm in the right place? ( I called you from the number next to the lock pad) after they made me try the same number for several times and kept repeating that it should work...well it should have but obviously it wasn't working. So after a long journey I am in the middle of a city what I don't know...and it's not a nice neighbourhood to be out at night there is a night club across and a lot of drunk people.. After the 100th time trying the same code they said they call the security person and without saying anything else they hung up...so I was there waiting not sure anyone will come or not...Mosquitoes biten me everywhere and I wasn't feeling safe at all while I was waiting...about 1 hour the security guy came he was nice and correct no problem with him, but that's a joke when even he can't open the lock and he called the same costumers support and waited the same automated call option just to speak with the same costumer support as I did....I felt like I could cry honestly this was so absurd After some time they somehow managed to open it with some code, I am not sure what and how, but I just didn't dare to leave my room until leaving and I didn't have to much time after this until check out anyways... Ohhhh and one more ”fun thing ” the number I needed to call and they let me wait for long long time repeating the same things wich didn't work, costed me a lot od money got me completely out of my phone balance... It was like a nightmare! It might have just happened with me, but I wouldn't risk it. Trust me, you don't want to end up in this situation !
The Hotel Seaport is nothing fancy for sure, but it gets the job done and it is in a very nice location - within walking distance to the castle and cruise terminal. The rooms are standard for EU sizes, and the breakfast isn't huge but it has everything you need. For the money I can't recommend a better hotel in Turku.
