A great hotel, fair price, amazing and friendly stuff. Great food, great view, and near amenities. It gives the best feeling of Umhlanga and Durban North.

I had an issue with the hot water. I reported same to the receptionist. He advised that the plumber confirmed that it was fine and that it was the pump that was affected due to load shedding. On Saturday the problem recurred and no one came to fix same. My room wasn’t cleaned either. Water was nit replaced and neither was clean cups replaced.

Air conditioners in the rooms make a terrible noise and when on you can hardly hear the TV. Loud wind noise under door on higher levels. Rooms are all noisy next to a busy road. Room service food inedible and expensive .

They have horrible service, from reception to housekeeping. Restaurant they have a good service. House keeping go through your suitcase when you're not in the room. We had to go out and buy soap because the housekeeping lady refused to give us 2 small bodywash. She gave us 1, imagine you use it in the morning and at night. The other time, she left nothing. we called reception, and they said they had no stock. They became angry when you requested service. It was my first time buying soap while i was in the hotel. Meat was not up to the hotel standard. It was not fresh at all. Massage i don't believe they were trained for the job they do. It's a good idea to have an in-house spa, but those ladies had no ideas on how to massage. Because of poor house keeping there small cockroches already. The hotel is beautiful, but we didn't receive value for our money, and for that, i don't believe i will book myself there again.

For some of the best views in Umhlanga, try to secure a room on the top floor. Room 903 at The Premier Splendid Inn Umhlanga is seafacing & was absolutely fabulous with top decor. The deluxe suite is complete with living room & gorgeous bedroom with king size bed & a balcony. A huge luxurious bath tub with separate shower and all the frills made for a gorgeous pamper session. We ordered room service with delicious grub and experienced phenomenal service throughout our stay. Definitely a winner!

Wasn’t Happy with the AC It never cool the room and only feel cold when you in front of it. There was no TV remote and I booked 2 rooms and both rooms had same issue

The hotel looked very new, so everything was in good state, but it lacked warmth and cosiness and the restaurant and cleaning services seemed novice. The room was small and some of the areas on the photos including the beautiful rooftop are not actually available for guests, which was a disappoin**ent.

I’m alsways happy spending a night at Splindid. I have no complains

It was okay,I didn’t like the move from one hotel to the next for food with no cover for rain
