There are many pros and cons to this hotel. Firstly the good points - Large living space in the bungalows. Amazing high views of the bay. Friendly staff. Very Clean. The breakfast was excellent , freshly cooked to order. The “not so good bits ” No safety deposit box in the rooms ( have to use the hotels safe) No Wi-Fi in your room or balcony ( common areas only ) Very steep steps/ ramp up to the hotel ( there is a free tuktuk to get you up to the hotel 1 person at a time) Very limit foreign exchange ( max £50) Cash only ( no card payment ) No TV in the room - No gym on site

We loved our stay at this hotel, very clean and comfortable, excellent service, 2 options for breakfast, quiet hotel and very close the all attractions, amazing staff. located at main road so very easy to access shops and transport. A dedicated tuktuk is provided between main gate and reception. Highly recommended.

Really beautiful hotel with kind and accomodating staff. Right on the beach with incredible views, delicious breakfast and lovely pool. Room was luxurious and comfy. Every need met with a smile. Wouldn't change a single thing about this hotel stay.

Great hotel with amazing views in a beautiful location. Massive room,very clean & good facilities. Wifi good.Great breakfast. All of the staff & owner are very friendly & helpful. The views are stunning as you are at the top of a hill overlooking the beach & the pool/garden area. Very quiet at night. The climb up to the hotel keeps you fit as it's very steep. If you don't fancy walking though, ring the bell outside the gate & the staff will come down in a tuk tuk (free of charge) to drive you up. 2 mins walk to beach with good restaurants nearby. So glad we chose this hotel for our stay in Unawatuna.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Hotel Panorama. The bungalow was clean and spacious and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The gardens and views looking down over the bay are gorgeous. But like all views from such a vantage point, has a hill to climb however this was not a problem and when we were being lazy, we just rung the bell at the gates and the staff drove the tuk tuk down to take us up. Breakfast: fruit, eggs etc, toast, tea or coffee and of course the Sri Lankan breakfast which I highly recommend. Lots of animals including monkeys and birds too see and of course, not forgetting the resident tortoises 😊 A lovely place to stay and I'd like to thank the staff for their kindness and hospitality

We stayed 11 nights in one of the bungalows. Our room was very comfortable with good aircon and a comfy bed. Breakfast was good with lovely fresh fruits. The staff here were always smiling and polite. I'd definitely recommend this hotel because we really enjoyed our stay. It is on a busy main road on the bottom of the hill but we could hardly hear any traffic, also they provide a free tuktuk to transport you up and down the hill, it is steep!
