We had a small but lovely, clean room overlooking the delightful Uzerche, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Definitely the best hotel in Uzerche. I checked them all on internet and on site! The menu in the restaurant is small but everything is delicious, the menu changes every month. All the members of staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very nice. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast was good. However, our stay was pretty terrible I’m afraid and even raising our issues with reception on checking out was met with very little in the way of an apology. I booked the hotel for a one night stop-off stay on the way back from the south of France. It was booked in January 2023 for a July stay . Over the course of that 5 months period, I never received any emails from the hotel to suggest anything unusual would be happening on the night of our stay. Even on the day of checking in nothing was mentioned to us. However, when we came down for dinner at 7:45 pm we met in reception and told that we could not be in our room between 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm that evening because of a firework display. When we questioned this, we were told there was a health and safety issue and that the fireworks meant that we would have to vacate the hotel completely for that hour and we would only be let back in when it had finished. The hotel had five months in which to communicate this information to it before our stay and had they done so I would’ve cancelled the room immediately without any concerns. To drop this information on us at 7.45pm when we had no alternative accommodation is simply unacceptable. We went out for dinner and went back to our room at about 9 pm as we were very tired. At 10:30 pm we had a knock on the door and a couple of moments later the phone rang endlessly until we woke up and we were told we had to leave the room. We said we were not going to get dressed and leave the room as we had a 600km drive the following day. On that, we were told that we were not allowed to open the curtains and must not put the light on so we did not spoil the fireworks display. The fireworks eventually finished at 11:40 pm and then loud music started directly outside the hotel and carried on until almost 3am

The owners have done a splendid job in modernising the chateau, and creating a comfortable sophisticated environment. We were welcomed and looked after throughout. Being perched at the top of a hill overlooking a deep valley, the views are great. Dinner in the restaurant was also a really good experience. I hope we can find a way to return.....

We stayed for 2 nights with our family at hotel Joyet de Maubec in the beautiful, quiet town that is Uzerche. Gorgeous hotel with panoramic views and don’t forget to try the restaurant (ask for a table on the terrace). Both breakfast and dinner were lovely! Thank you to the superfriendly team (including sweetest dog ever “Omega”)!

Clean and comfortable room with a good shower. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Great breakfast. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay again. Nice terrace with a view. We did have trouble finding it but it was worth the effort.

We stayed for one night in a Superior Double room overlooking the little carpark. Our host provided towelling robes as she noticed none had been provided in the room. We later discovered we had no towels but these were also quickly provided. The room was comfortable and clean. The hardworking hosts have transformed this former mansion into a stylish modern hotel.

Stayed for one night as a stop over while travelling south. Hotel is in a delightful, quiet location at the top of the old town. Do save some time to look around Uzerche as it is well worth it. The welcome at the hotel was warm and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and the hotel’s restaurant serves top quality food at good value for money prices. Definitely one to visit again at some point and would happily recommend it to others.

Old “castle” in the old town fully renovated. Very nice place with professional and friendly staff. Not too many rooms which make it feel like home. Very nice owner. The French President comes here for diner so you might bump into him like us. We had a great stay.

The hotel has a fabulous location high up above the vezere river in an old fortified building that has been transformed into a small modern stylish hotel. Friendly staff and great restaurant. A great stop just off the autoroute and a beautiful base to visit historic Uzerche.

A very personal service from the proud owner and staff of this wonderful hotel right at the top of the old town, created from a historic building. Unbelievably they have private parking accessed up a narrow street. Rooms, restaurant, bar, views all first class. I am especially indebted to them as I left our passports in our room, they informed our tour organiser before I had even noticed they were missing and they kept them safe ready for me to collect.

We had an absolutely fantastic one night stay at Hotel Joyet de Maubec. The views from our room were stunning. The village of Uzerche is well worth a visit too. This hotel is right at the top of the village amongst its cobbled streets and very old buildings. The hotel has been renovated to the highest of standards. From arrival to leaving everything was perfect. The room was clean and luscious with a lovely bathroom too. Breakfast was served to us at our table and was so yummy. We couldn’t eat in the restaurant as we stayed on a Sunday so they booked us a table at a fairly local restaurant within 15 minutes drive where we had the most enjoyable meal. Well priced for the service given. Thanks for making us so welcome, we will revisit again I hope, on our journey to our property in the south of France x❤️💙🇬🇧🇫🇷💙❤️x

Un menu de qualité dans une ambiance feutrée, une vue superbe et un service aux petits soins. Je recommande vraiment cette adresse pour faire une pause gourmande. Carte des vins offrant un bon choix à prix raisonnables. La cuisson des pavés de bœuf était parfaite !!

Situé dans le centre historique cette belle maison ancienne allie le charme et le très grand confort… Les chambres sont parfaitement équipées et certaines ont une vue magnifique…. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux avec d’excellents produits ( jus d’orange frais et viennoiseries exquises) L’accueil et le service sont efficaces et charmants… Un merveilleux endroit pour une belle étape ….

Environnement et vue exceptionnel. Des chambres superbes, bien équipées. Le restaurant est un vrai pépite. Et le personnel est adorable et au petit soin. Allez y les yeux fermés et laissez vous porter par le lieu!!!. Petit plus les chiens sont très bien reçus.
