ヴァーステーナ クロスターホテル(Vadstena Klosterhotell Konferens & Spa)

If you really want to step back in time to a quiet historic town - this is the place to visit. You only really need 2 days here to visit the area and take it in. August is off peak season if you prefer less crowds (there were none).

Interesting historic surroundings and small old village by the lake. Our room was at Nunnaklostret which is I think as cool building as the main building almost next to it. Old church is between these two buildings. There are also other accomadations so make sure you know what you book to avoid disappoin**ent. Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom, the other room our group had wasnt as big. Hotel has nice summer terrace in front of it that serves drinks and something smaller I think to eat. Service was friendly everywhere. Breakfast quite good but not extraordinary. Clean premises, free parking (with given permit). Aircon…dont know actually if it exists, our room had pleasant temp durin of our stay (not a hot summer day). ”View to lake”, not really important, since windows very small in rooms, but otherwise nice that hotel is by the lake, and there’s small park between the hotel and the lake. All in all, not the cheapest way to spend the night, but worth it.

If you love old buildings and Swedish lakeside resort villages then this is the place for you! Beautiful and fascinating old building; we got “lake view” rooms which meant we were in the old convent. The rooms are well decorated with modern bathrooms; our only complaint was that the bed in a “small double” wasn’t very wide - about the size of a full size bed in the USA- so as two adults we didn’t have a ton of room. But it was worth it to stay here. We really loved the breakfast, served in what was originally a palace banqueting hall and was then used as the nun’s dining hall - you can’t ask for much more a**osphere than that. It was one of the better selections we’ve seen at breakfast traveling around Sweden. Would love to come back here!

An exceptional property with incredible service. Sofia went above and beyond to ensure our stay was spectacular! We cannot compliment the staff enough as it was truly a highlight of our Sweden tour. The restaurant offered one of the best meals we’ve ever experienced. From the quality of the accommodations and hotel ambiance to the restaurant food and service, right down to the bespoke organic bath products, this was an a fantastic and memorable stay.

Observera att vissa av rummer ligger i annex som ligger en bra bit bort från huvudbyggnad, gym, spa , restaurant. Trevliga och bra som annex betraktade, men...

No AC....room.was like a furnace! Other then that....nice place

Fantastiska historiska lokaler med stort trivsamt rum och mycket fina lokaler för restaurang och frukost. Man äter frukost i "Bjälboättens palats".

Mycket trevligt hotell! Historien genomsyrade hela anläggningen. Frukosten var u**ärkt!

Opholdet i Vastena var dejligt på grund af omgivelserne, men hotellet var en stor skuffelse. Vi var på rundrejse i Sverige med et vennepar og de 2 Classic dobbelværelser var de dyreste på turen, men svarede slet ikke til forventningerne. Vi startede med, at blive sendt fra hovedbygningen, hvor vi troede, vi skulle bo, til en gammel slidt villa, der mest mindede om et museum. Efter klage blev vi flyttet til et basic værelse i Slottsflygelet i naboejendommen. Det var ok pænt og rent, men burde have kostet noget mindre. Vi brugte 3 timer på at skifte værelse. Så besøg gerne Vadstena, men find en anden overnatning. Vi vil betegne dette hotel som lidt af en turistfælde.
