My mom & I stayed at this hotel until April 5th, and my dad is still staying until April 8th. Hence, I will give a review of mostly mine but overall everyone's experience. The hotel looks very spacious and nice. We got here on Wednesday, April 3rd after checking out of a different hotel near Aasi Ghat as the main function around the ghat organized by our temple group was over. Hence, we decided to stay at the center of Varanasi the rest of the trip. Of course with the day we checked in, the previous hotel we checked out around 8AM and came very tired and sweaty from the hot April heat. We got room 405, which was actually at the City View Cottage and had the West View. While the reception/lobby had A/C after a hot afternoon, it was not the case at the 3rd and 4th floor. By that, I mean to get to the 4th floor, you have to take an elevator to the 3rd floor and then take a stairs 1 more level up. To make matters worse, unlike the 1st floor, you have no A/C, just more heat coming from the outside. The room upon entering had a step and even while entering the 4th floor itself, so you have to especially be very careful. The room was very large and spacious and it had a cabin feel made entierly of wood, kind of what it's like if you rent up a cabin in the mountains (i.e. Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, etc). We had an extra bed for 2 days for the 3rd guest to sleep in. Bed was extremely comfortable all of the nights. Bathroom was very nice and spacious with a lot of room. However, one problem is that there is no curtain or container to separate the shower from the bathroom sink, so it can sometimes cause water to overflow. The one problem we had was also that the A/C did not cool off the room in a timely ***ner. However, the housekeeping team did give us a remote which we could adjust the A/C settings, but it still took time. My guess could be that the wood does not allow the room to cool off efficiently. This also exasperated the issues when we came back from our outing in the peak of the heat Thursday & Friday. The heat outside plus the time it takes to cool off the room even went as far as making my mom a little unwell and myself and my father more dehydrated than usual (of course we drank a lot, but still we need to cool down). We did learn the reason the 4th floor has no elevator is likely because that's under construction. I hope the A/C is also under construction too, because all hotels I've stayed at with an interior corridor, even the one at the Aasi Ghat (Hotel Benares Haveli) was lacking. Last but not least, the first day service was quick when we needed drinks like lime soda or lassi. But on the day just an hour before my mom & I left to the airport (dad came to drop us and returned to the hotel), we ordered drinks after the temple outing and they took longer than we anticipated. The hotel is very strategically located close to the vishwanath temple. The rooms are good but their restaurant is terrible. The service is pathetic and the serving boys are least empathetic. My advice is that stay at the hotel but don’t go to their restaurant

I stayed here for two nights three days ,,, the hotel pics are the same as in hotel ,,, very clean and comfortable ,,, rooms are very spacious as is the bathroom,,, staff are lovely and polite and reception staff are more than happy to advise on trips ect or any other things you need info on,,, I highly recommend staying here its central to The Assi Ghat And the burning of the bodies,,, its right Nxt to the market street and 300 from the temple world famous , Thanks for the lovely stay I had with you. The location is wonderful. Just a few minutes walk from Kashi Vishwanath Corridor , temple and the Dashwamedh Ghats. The hotel is located at Godowlia chowk, which is a hub of Varanasi street food and shopping. The hotel staff is helpful and polite. The food at the hotel restaurant is good. Clean, comfortable rooms.

Location: The location is great, though you have to walk last 300 metres to hotel as cars / rickshaws/ auto etc are not allowed most of the day. Dashashvmedh ghat is 600 metres / Kashi Viswanath temple is 400 metres and easily walkable. Rooms : First things first. What they show on photo in website during booking is not what they actually offer. Also some of the the facilities written in website are actually not available. The superior Room we booked @Rs 7000/- was terrible and suffocating. So had to pay extra and upgrade executive room. However room had issues with A/C. it cooled like fridge with no temperature control. But the Fridge in the room never worked. So be careful. Room rent is on higher side by atleast 1.5 times. Breakfast: Almost same items everyday , but eatable and OK if included in room rent. Otherwise go out and eat as cheaper rate. Room service is generally fast, but messes up sometimes. Food quality reasonable / OK. Staff service reasonably polite. We spent 5 nights and realised that closeness to Ghats or temple actually does not matter as went to temple once / or Ganga aarti once only. A reasonably priced hotel slightly away / in less congested area may be a better option.

The team Grand Ganges hops off all boundries to keep their guests in the best comfort. My parents who being senior citizen had visited Kashi for Pilgrimage snd their stay in Grand ganges was overwhelming because of their beautiful cottages, Homely hospitality and finger licking good food served. I would highly recommend everyone who cannot accompany parents to Kashi ,to undoubtedly send their parents at this hotel where stay is very safe and is very close to Temple, Ghats and Shopping arena. Strategically located right on the Godowlia crossing; this place is in the heart of your “Banarasi experience “. Its less than 400mts from the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple and around half a km from the Dashashwamedha ghat. The hotel amenities and staff were very helpful and gave correct information when needed. It was a pleasant stay and gave us the opportunity to enjoy the busy streets near us with all kinds of food.

I’ve had a pleasant stay at Hotel Ganges Grand. People here at this hotel are very kind and go above and beyond to please their guests. The location of this property can’t be beat. It’s right on the Godowlia crossing which is the centre of Varanasi. Rooms are incredibly spacious and clean. Breakfast is delicious spread of a very high quality. I’ll definitely come back again and couldn’t recommend higher, thanks to the hospitality and people.
