Overall I enjoyed the hotel - the staff were amazing, the room was comfortable, the location was great - but I don't recommend staying on the lower floor if you can help it. I still have no idea how the person above us managed to make so much noise by themselves (according to the front desk, 1 person) but it was really frustrating at 1 am and again at 8 am. Guessing the lack of carpet or padding? Either way, definitely recommend as long as you stay on the upper level.

Nice, quaint little hotel right on Venice beach. The shower situation was a little steange being part of tge room, though. I'd recommend installing a fan as my son steamed up the whole room taking a hot shower.

Staff were nice, friendly but they are not at the front desk often. You need to call a number but it feels like you are inconveniencing them. *****SMELL: we stayed in room 8. It was a last minute booking so I ended up paying more than the regular price. It was small but we only needed a space to sleep so it didn’t matter. I don’t know where that smell came from but it was a really strong chemical smell. It wasn’t even cleaning products, it was something else. I cannot prove it because you can’t take a picture of it or record it. We didn’t stay at the room for a long period time, but when we got to the room, we had to open the window to air it out. When we came back to the hotel late night, we noticed that the smell was coming out from the bathroom. We left it closed and went to sleep. Again, there was no one at the front because it was late at night and we didn’t want to bother anyone. We woke up in the morning with heavy headaches. I was so pissed off but didn’t want to ruin our trip. We just let the staff know before we checked out but it’s dangerous. I don’t know what it was but hopefully it’s not something causes damage to my health in the future. ****Hair Dryer Alert!!!!**** I wash my hair everyday. I almost die with this dryer that they had in the room. I am lucky and they are lucky. A huge spark came out of the front and if I wasn’t fast enough, I could have been burnt to death. I brought it to them and told them. Please check your gadgets regularly!!!!!!

Gem of a hotel in a great location! I loved the small boutique feel of this place. Nice, clean rooms - a bit small but plenty comfortable. Staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the places to gather along the oceanside and the rooftop terrace. The only thing missing was coffee in the rooms/onsite.

Arrived at 5:15pm. Sign on counter said to call..left 4 messages over 45 min. Another guest came in & said they found their keys in a mailbox on the wall. She(the guest) handed us our envelope. Yikes. After a long drive of 400 miles, we wanted to shower & use the bathroom. Toliet wouldn't flush. Had to turn water to the tolet on...still wouldn't flush. Each time we used the bathroom, we had to lift the tank top, pull the stopper inside for it to flush. The reason the water was off because it never stops running. We then decided to shower. Not hot water, no answer at the desk. 8am...still no hot water. There was a note for us that maintenance would be in to change out our safe. Whilst checking out, we did let them know & they said thanks. They didn't collect the $20 for parking. It was clean, a great location without all the baloney we went through, it might be okay to stay. Side note*** I have pictures & video of the toliet, though, it won't allow me to upload.

I booked an ocean view room and did not get that. I was just facing a house and the floor was dirty. I didn’t get no sleep because of people upstairs sounded like they were removing furniture all night and morning the bed was so hard you could feel the spring and the sofa couch was hard Once he tried to sit on felt like it was going to cave in if you’re looking for a comfortable stay I wouldn’t stay here. If you’re looking for a convenient location, then you found your place.

Perfect place for a staycation with my wife. It was nice being right on the beach and walking on the walking path through the town. Out door lounge area was also great to sit and soak in the sun and people wat.

It was a very nice place to stay the rooms are small yet your only there to sleep. . Wish they would have had coffee pots. If you stay here make sure you pay for parking 20 a night they only have 8 spots. Nice views from the third floor.
