Loved this hotel. It’s right by the channel and can catch a gondola from right outside the hotel. It’s walkable distance to everywhere.. the restaurant under the hotel is open till late and has good food. Best croissants, hot chocolate at the bakery down the road .. rooms r big and clean 4 stars since the bathroom does not have a stand up shower and no shower curtains. Atleast we did not have time for a soaking tub experience in the 2 nights we spent here . Not sure if this is an issue with just the room we were in (103) or with all rooms. Other than that, absolutely loved this hotel and the staff.

O hotel é muito bonito e bem localizado. Com fácil acesso a pontos turísticos e uma Bela vista! Ao meu ver falta no excelente e amplo quarto uma garrafa térmica para um chá ou café. Quem sabe um frigobar também não seria útil .....No mais aprovado!

I’ll start by saying we read reviews where some had complained about their rooms primarily for low ceilings in bathrooms and management replied to the reviews stating “if only you had told us we would have offered you another room”. We had three rooms and my daughters was one with such a low ceiling over the bath she couldn’t stand up in it to have a shower. We did go to reception to complain but wasn’t offered an alternative or given any explanation instead just fobbed off. That said it didn’t spoil the experience. The hotel itself is in a great location close to San Marco square and all the main attractions. It is basic and a bit dated but immaculately clean although the rooms are a bit dark due to dark wood furniture. Some of the rooms have balconies but with limited views and whilst it says they have mini bars they don’t. There are fridges in the rooms with bottled water in but a bit hit and Miss if it’s replenished each day. Ours wasn’t. The breakfast is very basic, processed ham, cheese, boiled eggs etc. not worth €15 in my opinion and you can get far better in near by cafes for a lot less. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms but I believe you can help yourself to a brew outside the breakfast room on the second floor although we wasn’t told this on check in. Overall a good hotel in a great location and the staff were friendly and welcoming despite not recognising our issue with one of the rooms. Forthe price we paid I would look elsewhere when we return to Venice.

sehr zentral zum Marcusplatz gelegen; architektonisch sehr ansprechend, aufwändig und gelungen restauriert; ausgiebiges und gutes Frühstück; freundliche Mitarbeiter; gemütliche Dachterrasse; einige Gondeln fahren direkt am Hotel vorbei; gute und bezahlbare Restaurants im näheren Umfeld zu Fuß gut erreichbar; ab 6 Uhr zeitweise sehr laut – von außen der Lieferverkehr und von innen die Putzfrau vor den Zimmern und im Treppenhaus; versprochenen Prosecco gabs leider nicht; Frühstücksraum sehr eng – nur ca. 40 cm zwischen den Tischen und die Tische selbst für 2 Personen ca. 55 x 55 cm; ein Fensterflügel (Verriegelung) war defekt – nach Reklamation ging er leider nicht mehr zu öffnen; am Fenster im Badezimmer und an der Decke Feuchtigkeits-/Schimmelflecken; Zimmerpreisverlauf für Kanalblickzimmer von ursprünglich 500 Euro über 300 Euro zu zum Schluss 130 Euro;

Ein relativ kleines, feines Hotel mit viel Charme im alten Haus am Kanal in der Nähe von der Opera- also super Lage, schönes Ambiente mit modernem Badezimmer, Safe, Kühlschrank , großes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliches Personal!

Just back to Ireland from fantastic stay in Dell Opera in Venice. This hotel is definitely better than the official 3* and located in very central area just 3 minutes (walking) to St Marks and 5 minutes to Rialto Bridge - also just beside all the designed branded shops - Gucci, Dior, LV, Prada etc. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, providing maps and useful information for our visit. The staff at breakfast were also excellent and provided you with choice of breakfast requests. Breakfast was mostly continental with some cooked egg options but more than enough especially if looking to leave room for the many delicious Italian restaurants for lunch and dinner. The room we had in the hotel ( Room 106 ) was excellent - large with high ceilings and antique furniture and great views from 2 windows overlooking the canal and able to watch and listen to the gondoliers. The ability to travel from the airport via boat right to the hotel is a great advantage. Be careful with other hotels of 3* or 4* with thousands of reviews - many are bought so you need to spend time reading the actual reviews to see what hotels are good - very important if you have travelled from USA or a big distance to be sure of good hotel and good service - this applies to the restaurants as well. Dell Opera was a great recommendation from my travel agent and it did not disappoint in location, room quality and staff service so thank you for a great base to explore Venice and hope to be back again soon.

Very nice and stylish hotel in the heart of Venice. Wonderful position, around the corner from the Theater La Fenice and at walking distance from many key attractions, including San Marco square. Clean room and very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet could surely be improved.

Perfect hotel and room size. Amazing location and access to local shops. Our only complaint is that there was limited hot water for bathing during our trip.

The nicest people work here. The staff is so cheerful and helpful. I also like that there is an elevator. It is very conveniently located, and is practically right next to the Teatro la Fenice. It has a porto d'acqua, which means that, if the tides don't interfere, you can get a water taxi to pick you up or drop you off right at the front door.
