An hours drive and you can leave behind the hustle of the city and work n school. We visit here a few times in the year just to rejuvenate n relax. A short drive but really feels like you are far from home when y sitting on the peaceful banks of the river. Food is really good as well and lots of restaurants and stores close by

Very lovely clean place on the Vaal River bank with beautiful gardens.The staff is kind and attentive,Melissa at reception,winderful lady.Lebohang at the poolside bar very helpful and friendly to all guests.John at the evening buffet,is a true gentleman and was hoing out of his wsy.DOWNSIDE;Management must be decisive and deal with rowdy and disruptive guests who were there as a big family.They wererude to staff and pushing other guest around.Its not fair.Otherwise the manager must resign or take a transfer as it seem this occurs frequently.Staff says they fear head office.Other than thst beautifulfor relaxation

Fluffy pillows and air conditioning in the room were a delight since it's been really hot! Customer service was really good and the food was tasty. The conference rooms were well serviced which helped the meeting run smoothly. It is a bit far so if you're looking for a get-away from the hustle of Johannesburg, this is a great option.

The hotel is located on the river bank. Their hotel has clean facilities and plenty parking. The pool area is lovely and is great for private events. Nearby there is a local market and water activities. There are boat rides for small to large groups. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and serviced daily.

Overall stay - disappointing. Room needs upgrading. Shower should have a bigger screen to prevent bathroom flooding. Room was the most disappointing part of the stay. Room aircon is a disaster. So loud that you cannot sleep with it on. Service - excellent from reception to pool side staff to restaurant staff. Food - buffet breakfast and dinner very good. Checkout - couldn't process a refund on my credit card, still struggling 2 weeks later. I don't understand the 3 stars for this hotel, should be rated 2 stars and the Sun removed from the name.

Well maintained hotel, neat, great service, efficient check in, breakfast buffet excellent and dinner buffet absolutely value for money. Child free hotel and helpful staff.Although not many activities for children, it is near Emerald ******, where animal world and the game drive is amazing. I would rate this hotel 5 out of 5, but would like to see them implement a heated pool as the pool is really cold.

Always a pleasure to stay here. Staff are excellent and friendly. Hotel is clean and the breakfast is phenomenal. The grounds are well kept and the pool is great. It is our first and only choice when going to the Vaal.

From check in to cleaning personnel, the chef, waiters, bar staff, everyone is friendly and welcoming. The hotel is clean and well maintained. I cannot get over the gorgeous grounds leading to the river. We spent most of the day just lounging under the trees, enjoying the view and peace. Breakfast and dinner were very good.

Breakfast included in stay. A very good selection and tasty. Rooms very neat and tidy. Kids activities available to keep little ones busy. Supper - a good selection Room service - A bit slow when in peak season (Easter break), but food quality very good. Reasonably priced for a breakaway from JHB and not too far to travel Staff very friendly and professional Grounds kept neat Will defnitely visit again
