This was a repeat visit to this hotel as we had such an enjoyable stay there last year. However we were rather disappointed in the condition of the relaxation whirlpools this time around. The jets were not working in the upper pool and the lower pool had several leaks and the shower head did not work.

Yes, a 5* with all the expected accommodation, but it is the Staff. I left my purse in a taxi and the clerk traced it down and got my untouched purse back. I am so grateful. Our large room with a very comfortable bed and good AC that we really needed with 40^C. Large walk-in shower with good pressure. Typical, good Portuguese breakfast buffet.

Beautiful hotel! The breakfast is very nice with a wide range of variety. The staff is incredible, everybody is very nice and always ready to help. The rooms are very spacey and the bed very comfortable. The pool and spa was also really nice. We will surely be coming back!

Beautiful hotel on the lovely town of Vila Vicosa. Loved the marble throughout the hotel & our very comfortable room with decent air con, comfy bed, outside terrace & decent shower. Funky tv in the mirror was a wow! Breakfast was typical Portuguese & very nice. Staff were lovely in every part of the hotel. Car parking underground was complimentary. Pool area was nice with decent bar & good cocktails/drinks. Great value for money for a hotel with such lovely standards. Visited a couple of vineyards in the area & bought some local wine. Dined in the square at night. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful hotel and village. Ideally should be an Adult Only hotel as noisy children spoil it for everyone in the enclosed pool area! Screaming and shouting spoils it and takes away from the possibility to relax!! So annoyed. If you are lucky enough to stay while no children here its sublime! Restaurant very casual and delightful staff. Food oversalted so ask for no salt!!! Delightful reception girl Theresa!! Very informative and knowledgeable! Would love to stay except for noisy spoilers of kids!!!! Beautiful Spa too! Perfect for those lycra men

This is a wonderful, unique hotel in Vila Vicosa. It's owner also owns one of the many marble quarries in the area and has made extensive use of Portuguese marble as well as marble from other countries in the décor of the hotel. Our room was the Arabe suite which was one of the largest, most opulent suites we've ever stayed in. Daily housekeeping was thorough and efficient and our bed was extremely comfortable. The daily breakfast was full of many different dishes, including typical European breakfast food, as well as pastries, eggs and sausage. Service at the hotel and dining areas was attentive and professional. The one issue, which seems to be unique to Portugal since I've never run into it before, is that one Nespresso coffee pod was provided each morning for free and each additional pod was 2 Euros each. Every hotel I've ever stayed in has always offered free in-room coffee. But, in the grand scheme of things, this was minor annoyance since coffee was plentiful in the dining area and included with breakfast.

despite arriving late i was met by a friendly and knowledgeable member of staff,there's no doubt this hotel is decorated to a very high standard,the lounge area was a very relaxing place to rest ones bones after a day sight seeing.my room was large,very clean and very quiet at night which is important to me.as others have mentioned there is marble everywhere and it is hard not to be impressed.add a very good restaurant on next door with a good menu and wine list then this lovely place has got so much going for it. a big thanks to all the staff i spoke with including in the restaurant who were all friendly especially the lovely teresa.

This hotel is closer to a 4 star than a 5 star, but good value for money. Very nice room, friendly staff in reception and breakfast, good breakfast with plenty of local products. SPA receptionist was downright unfriendly, we got the feeling that she would prefer we didn’t enter at all. Overall a nice weekend experience if you can get over the loud, overbearing decor in the salon area.

This charming hotel is perfectly located between Evora and some of our favourite vineyards, Espora to name one! Very friendly staff, nice spa peaceful spa (after the racket we experienced in Pintadinho beach) and great breakfast.

Excellent hotel experience somewhat spoiled by an abundance of noisy kids in the pool ,100% spoiled Portuguese boys (which seems to be the norm) My advise is to visit during school time . The facilities are very good and well thought out. the place is filled with beautiful marble the staff are faultless and polite a real gem
