Rhythm kumarakom. A property that drew me to it was the sheer expanse of its pool. With a length of 150 meters, it’s best to take a pool cottage as that helps u step straight from your room into the pool ! and that’s quite a perk ! the rooms are clean and the usual kind that we find in any luxury property. They are not ultra luxurious and would rate them as 3/5. Though i must say they are clean and v comfortable. The bathroom has 2 showers with one that’s even open to sky. Which unfortunately i could not use as there’s no hot water in that one. But every time, anything falls short the pool makes up for it more than enough ! the waters really good and the pool is extremely clean. The staff is courteous and though language is a bit of a problem ( which seemed to be the case all over kumarakom) it’s not difficult to manage. For lovers of south indian - keralite cuisine this place is idle. The food and service in the restaurant is good with reasonable rates. And a special mention is befitting ashwin, aashna and the service manager bijou. The property expanse is not much so if u are looking for sprawling gardens and pathways. Rhythm would not be the chosen one. There are bicycles available but surprisingly this is the first time i came across a luxury resort that charges its guests rs 250+ taxes as rent on an hourly basis. That is an expense which usually is something i have not encountered and a bit of a put off. The spa is good but think it’s over priced. Overall it’s a property worth visiting without any regrets. Just a heads up - you must prepare urself to see a whole lot of guests swimming in their regular t-shirts ! though mentioned that only swimming attire would be permitted, don’t be surprised to see women in salwar suits. Men and boys in t-shirts with their swimming trunks ! the blessing here is that the pool is so big that this ghastly sight seems v far and distant ! lol would give this property a solid 4. 3 out of 5
