ルレ サン ミッシェル(Relais Saint Michel)

Clean sheets, plenty of hot water and excellent food. What else do you need?

We stayed here one night en route from Calais to Switzerland. We had serious mosquito problems in our room and ended up with over 20 bites each. The manager was most unhelpful when we asked shortly after arriving about resolving the mosquito problem and was generally unfriendly during our check in and when we enquired about dinner. The room and the hotel was not consistent with the standard expected. Also we had booked and were allocated a room with special mobility facilities but were not allowed to park in the disabled parking space that was close by. We were told this was for restaurant clients but the space was not used during our visit.

Situated on the D975 on a direct route from the south to the Channel tunnel, we stayed for one night the accommodation was good and we had a full nights sleep. We are in the restaurant the meal was very good the menu to choose from had a varied choose is a little short there were still several choices I would have choose. The breakfast was also good.

Great place for travellers. Very large parking suitable for all types of vehicles. Restaurant is excellent.

Great budget hotel with an excellent restaurant - we have stayed here many times!

Reasonable accommodation. Inadequate numbers of staff to serve at dinner, so they had to rush everything. No menu - only blackboard which was raced from table to table. Not a relaxed dinner. Food average.

Overall we were pleased we booked this hotel. Room was small and dated and bathroom area was very small. However restaurant for evening meal and breakfast was excellent, staff were very attentive. Positioned in a quite village within a short drive to the motorway.

I expected that the rooms would look like the picture, which turned out was if the restaurant. I was surprised, then, to find out the rooms were in a plain building to the right of the restaurant and that the inside was as plain as the outside. That said, in spite of the small size of the room, the bed was very comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water with good water pressure, the staff were nice and helpful, the premises were very clean and that there were the usual amenities that you find in good hotels…ie. Hair dryer, soap and shampoo, and WiFi. Happy to have parking too. The free breakfast was very good as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

… and perfectly placed for a one night stopover en route from the South to Calais. A basic Motel with smallish rooms & en-suite but with the added benefit of a pool, restaurant and bar all onsite. Nice welcome by owner (? Who was also wearing mask) but that’s where the good customer service ended; breakfast staff outside smoking, saw us come in but let us wait, and wait again when we wished to settle the bill and not wearing a mask the whole time….
