Recent renovations and helpful staff made for a pleasant stay before our flight home. After reading reviews of the other Marseille Airport hotels, this seemed to be the best of the bunch and we had no complaints whatsoever. Rooms, restaurant, pool and fitness center are all better than you might expect at a chain hotel. I would stay here again..

No one wants to stay at an airport hotel unless there is a reason. Our reason was that we had to catch a 6:15 a.m. flight, meaning we needed to be at the airport at 4:15 a.m. However, Best Western only offers a shuttle at 5 a.m. As a result, you need to walk with your luggage for about 10 minutes in the dark to your terminal of choice - the path from the hotel to the airport is unlit. Yes, the room is clean and works, but Best Western needs to operate an airport shuttle when people need it.

Positives first: - the room was clean. - the lobby and hotel decor are fine - the person working on reception when I was there was friendly and helpful Negatives: - the shuttle service to the airport begins at 5am, so I had to get a taxi to the airport for my earlier flight (as walking to the airport is only 5 minutes, but as a woman on her own, I didn't want to walk in the dark, especially across areas that did not seem very safe). The taxi to the airport was 25 euros! - a staff member was extremely unhelpful when I was stuck outside the entrance due to flooding. I was on foot and the member of staff driving the shuttle bus would not help me. I called to her for help as I did not want to walk through a massive pool of dirty rain water, and she gestured to me to 'run through it', then turned away and would not make eye contact with me. I had to wade through deep, dirty rainwater in sandals that I ended up putting in the bin in my hotel room. When I got through the water, I went to speak to the member of staff who said 'what did you want me to do, carry you?!'. Needless to say, I was very unhappy with this service. She could have come with the little airport shuttle van and picked me up, or asked me to wait until she got back from leaving hotel guests to the airport and then taken me across the hotel threshold in the little van. But no. I was very disappointed with this - even from a human point of view, I would never let someone walk through that - I would always help. - I paid quite a high price for my hotel room at this Best Western, so to get this level of service from the personnel was just disgusting.
