ハビラ ホテル ラフテボルド(Havila Hotel Raftevold)

The hotel is located on the main road, half of the roomss face the Fjord and the others fce the main road. Luckily, I booked a room that faces the Fjord and the view wass very nice. Rooms facing the road are very noisy. Bed is not comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant. We attempted to eat dinner but after 90 minutes of wait we gave up. Shwer was OK. Breakfast wa very basic. I would look for alternatives in the area.

The restaurant, on premises, is really good, small menu but only fresh products. The rooms have a beautiful view on the lake and the staff is not only very friendly but does its best to make your journey better.

I stayed here with my two children and my parents for two nights during what some locals described as the typical Norwegian Summer, i.e. rainy and relatively cold. The hotel room my children and I were assigned was cold as the heating was not working. The room was rather small and the bathroom was simple, but the view was lovely. I can imagine everything would have looked much better on a sunny day. Breakfasts in this hotel are simple and the choice isn't great (unless you choose eggs). For me without a doubt the best part of my stay was the excellent service provided by the lovely, witty Polish waiter who served our meals in the evening. The hotel should treasure him.

Wonderful stay in a lovely hotel. We were on a road trip around Norway and I’m glad I chose this spot for a stop. Kind staff,great views and wonderful breakfast. There aren’t many places around so we had dinner in it when we arrived and it was very good too.

The hotel is located in a lovely area, the room was very basic but quite ok. The best thing about our stay was Henrik the hotel employee who took care of all our needs. You can park in front of the hotel for free or a few meters further if it’s full. Some nice stuff to see around but the closest big attraction is Geiranger. In winter you can ski close by.

We needed a hotel near Hellesylt and this hotel is only 30 minutes away per car. It is a small town but with a supermarket, gas station and you can also eat at the cafetaria. Breakfast was good and the reception was good as well. Few parking spaces in front of the hotel but there is more parking near the gasstation. Do book a room with lake view!!! its worth the extra bucks. It is nice to look at the fjord. It was a bit noisy sometimes as it seems that busses also drop their tour passengers in the hotel. Room was clean but a bit outdated. Pricewise a good deal I think.

The room and bathroom were small, basic and a bit dated but clean and with comfortable beds. This was reflected in the good value price. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was basic and OK. The Hotel was 30mins drive to Hellesylt so great for catching the early morning Car Ferry to Geiranger, which was the main reason we chose this Hotel. The views from our room and balcony, of the lake and mountains, were fantastic. So definitely a great location. On the downside, The room, corridor and lift areas were a bit dated. There was a continuous noise coming from a covered area on the front lawn, which I was presume was a some type of pump. Unfortunately this could be heard in our room even with the windows shut. On our stay there was no milk at breakfast.

Hotel needs good renovation! Location is beautiful.
