We have stayed at the Kihei Surfside multiple times over the past several years. This time, we booked Unit 310 through Ali'i Resorts for our recent 2 week stay, and it was one of the best units we have stayed in here. It was clean, comfortable, well-stocked, nicely appointed, and looked exactly as represented by the photos on their website. The recent addition of A/C has been a welcome improvement. The entire complex is quiet, well-maintained, and has a heated pool. The front office is very accommodating to any need. Ali'i Resorts staff was great to work with. They reached out to us with a welcome phone call, and again, prior to departure. For the prime location of this property, the price is very reasonable. The only downside is that the beautiful lawn has become a public park. Many people bring their dogs to run freely, especially in the afternoon for sunset. Despite this, it is still a lovely, quiet lawn during the majority of the day and should not discourage anyone from booking here. We are looking forward to another visit!

We recently stayed in the newly remodeled Unit 302 in Kihei and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The views from the lanai are absolutely breathtaking — the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee or a stunning sunset. The condo itself is spacious, spotless, and beautifully updated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. From the clean, modern kitchen to the little details that made the space feel like home, it’s clear that great care went into the remodel. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore the island, this unit is a perfect home base. We’re already looking forward to our next trip back!

My wife and I stayed at Surfside for 10 days in a unit provided through Rosie’s Rentals. Our unit (Suite 513) and the facility were well maintained and very clean. The facility staff were extremely polite and quite eager to help. The stretch of beach immediately to the south has lots of space and is very relaxed. The view out of each room to the north towards Sugar Beach is iconic, especially with the facility’s expansive, and manicured lawn in the foreground. Overall, we felt that we received very good value and enjoyed our time there immensely. We strongly recommend the Surfside!

We had a fantastic experience at Kihei Surfside. The front desk man name Dan was absolutely amazing/superb. He helped us with amazing requests on restaurants and fun activities. He has the cutest pup name Sophie, I almost fainted. I hope he will be there when I come back for the winter time, If not I am not coming back. My money will go somewhere els. Until next time… ✌️️

Location can’t be beat! Dan and Sophie work the desk and run things like clockwork! Dan is helpful with information, suggestions, directions, equipment check-outs, coffee in the morning - doesn’t skip a beat! The grounds are well-cared for, swimming pool and bbq are kept clean on a daily basis. Access to the beach is easy and the beach is one of the best in Kihei. The unit we were in had more of the owner’s things in it than we expected, so some of the drawers and closet space were unavailable, but we worked around it. That said, the kitchen had everything one would need. The furniture was a little dated, but the bed was comfortable, and the unit, although a little small, worked well for 2. We would stay again at this resort in a heartbeat! A well-managed, well-run operation with a location that is the best!

Wonderful location on Maui with great access to food, shopping, beaches, and adventures. Building was clean, wonderful, and easy to navigate. The condo had everything, including spectacular views, everything was clean and working. The lawn and pool were perfect.

We recently stayed at Kihei Surfside in Maui, Unit 110, which we booked through Ali’i Resorts. It was a perfect week. The condominium is beautiful and comfortable. We felt like we were at home. Everything we wanted and needed was there. The bed is so comfortable, giving us much needed hours of sleep. The patio faces the water and the view of the ocean and mountains are so beautiful. We cannot wait for our next visit. We will go back to the same unit and we will book through Ali’i

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Kihei Surfside in Room 513, and we had an enjoyable stay. The remodeled unit's amenities and great oceanfront view met or exceeded our expectations. The trade winds died down a couple of nights and there was no a/c, but luckily there were several fans! Unfortunately we had to keep the large sliding door closed at night to keep out beetles that loved to come in through its screen door cracks, so a/c would have been a big plus. There was construction on site that was not too disruptive, but unfortunately construction on the nearby street was noisy starting at 9 AM each weekday. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but it would have been better with a/c and without beetles or road construction noise.

I scheduled a trip to visit in late August. I didn't buy trip insurance because literally nothing was keeping me from this trip. Then the big fire came. Due to the state of emergency and catastrophic loss of life, I was forced to cancel my trip. Rosie's Rentals stated "No Refunds." I'm dealing with the charges to this day. Totally appalling that they try to force a visit while they are in the middle of one of the greatest natural disasters in our countries history just a few miles away. I saw similar posts when people couldn't travel due to COVID restrictions. Don't book ahead. They keep your money if you can't make it. Now not only did I miss out on a Hawaii vacation, but I'm also not taking ANY vacation because the funds are taken. Fun times.

We have been staying at the Kihei Surfside for 40+ years! Our daughters were 3 & 6 when we first discovered this amazing location. Now they are bringing their children! Some will pass this by when they read “no AC”. Kihei is the windy side of Maui so trade winds will keep you cool. Every room has an unobstructed view of the ocean. 1.5 miles of beach is just steps away with some of the best snorkeling! A new pool was finished just before our month-long stay in November. Blowing the conch shell at sunset is a KS ritual. Everyone is encouraged to join in! It also is connected to state property so the grounds for running children is ideal!! We’re going back for another month this November!

This is our first time at this resort....not our last. Great ocean view from all rooms, awesome large grass area for play, yoga and gatherings, beautiful birds in the yard daily. Excellent snorkeling out front and lots of turtles visible by land and sea as they feed off the grasses and algae. Easy to spot whales from the entire bay and great views of Molokini crater and over to the West Mountains and Haleakala behind us. The best part though is the staff and management at this building...They are awesome!!!! Thank you for an excellent vacation at Kihei Surfside...see you next year.

We’ve been staying here at Kihei Surfside for 11 days now. After COVID, we hoped to reconnect as a couple and chose this through VRBO based on the location and positive reviews. Our condo is well-appointed, and even without a/c, the fans and ocean breeze kept us comfortable. And the views are beautiful. But if you are going to stay here, these are the things I think you need to know: -this is a family-friendly complex, and I’m being diplomatic when I say it is noisy. From 6:30am onward, there is no shortage of screeching toddlers and teens -the pool is another hub of noise and despite an on-site manager, we’ve just had our second to last evening ended due to a raucous cannonball contest, with parents cheering on the kiddos -the large common area is a public park and is a popular off-leash dog area. -the curved shape of the building channels sound directly into your lanai -we’ve been woken up every single money before 7am by condo doors slamming and kids crying outside our door. We’ve stayed at many other complexes In the past and will most definitely make a different choice next time. I love kiddos, I do! But wow, it’s a lot here. Lesson learned.

Over 20 years ago, I found the Kihei Surfside and have never been disappointed . The property is simply in the best location. It is so meticulously maintained and the staff, especially Dan at the front desk, have always gone above and beyond. Needless to say, I can’t wait to go back!

After walking the area around this resort I'd have to say it's one of the best located places to stay. The beach is a very short walk, less than 50 yards, and a park area is next to the pool. The facilities are well maintained and the pool was cleaned daily. The beach was not crowded and there was excellent snorkeling just off shore. The main part of town is within walking distance or a short drive. Our room was ready when arrived and was spotless. Full kitchen was nice. The staff was pleasant. There is no air-conditioning but with windows and slider open there was a nice breeze through the unit. It was in the 80's while we were here. Because the windows are open you do hear the roosters and other birds in the morning. The office does offer ear plugs. We will come back.
