I loved my (sadly too short) stay @ Kima! The people were really nice and the food was soo good! The camp is really chill & easy to get to know new people and make some friends. The surf instructors helped me a lot with improving my surfing skills!

It’s been my second time at kima surf camp in Weligama and I can highly recommend it. The staff and the managers are super welcoming and always helpful. The rooms are clean and the food is pretty good. It’s a good place to learn how to surf or to improve your surfing skills.

Kima Surfcamps are the best ones I’ve ever visited. After trying different camps in different countries I always return to kima whether it’s Bali or now Sri Lanka. The camp has a great location and you can walk to a lot of nice places and the beach. The building and the garden are beautiful, very spacious and well looked after. The dorm I stayed in was very nice and offered a lot of privacy with the curtains. At the same time it's easy to meet new people to chill with or be alone if you want to. In general the camp is very good for socializing and having a good time with everybody. Food at kima is always good, especially the breakfast is my favourite part and perfect after a morning surf session. The surf sessions at kima are great. The organisation with the surf planner is fantastic because you can choose your level, different spots and time. Also kima is the only surfcamp I found so far that offers surfing 7x a week and twice a day. So it's perfect to improve your surfing in quite a short time or get the chance to visit different spots around the south coast. The sessions are always a lot of fun and super helpful since the guides are very motivated in helping you catch gold waves and analyse your mistakes. I will definitely return to kima sri Lanka in the future.

I had a brilliant two weeks at Kima as a solo traveller. The core surfing and social elements work really well: — The surfing instruction is very professional and set up to fit what you need as an individual. There’s a gradual scale of six different ability levels and classes are small. The surf guides give everyone individual attention, often by asking what each person wants to work on at the beginning of the session. Although they are called guides they can essentially be instructors if you want the support. The guides are really invested in helping you improve and getting to know you. Out of the water, the video analysis sessions are great for individual feedback. Robbie's technical analysis led to a couple of lightbulb moments for me and his encouragement keeps it fun. — The social element is easy to get involved with even if you come alone. The dinner every weekday for the whole camp helps a lot with that, with evening activities typically following directly afterwards. People do go out to parties if that is your thing, although there’s no pressure to do so and there was always something more relaxed at the camp during the evenings. Added to that there are enough extra activities to fill the days even if you don’t surf. If you want downtime, the building is clean and comfortable so it’s a relaxing place to be. There was also a really welcoming atmosphere as the staff and the guests I met were all so friendly. I felt sad to leave!

Amazing experience! Surf guides were all wonderful and super helpful! Everybody that works there is always in a great mood and excited to help! I stayed for two weeks to learn the basics of surfing and although I was quite the slow learner the surf guides never gave up on me and were extremely supportive when I was able to catch waves!

The Kima Surfcamp in Sri Lanka is a really fun experience. I stayed for 5 days and already improved my surfing skills alot. The staff is really frienldy and helpful. The standards of this accommodation are really high, very chill environment. I would recommend staying here 100%

I love kima surf! This was my 1st time in Sri Lanka and Kima made it amazing (just like they did in Bali). They combine surf instruction/guiding with a wonderful group stay environment! It’s like instant friends to surf with from all over the world! I find the friends that I meet in Kima are almost as great as the experience! Also the staff is amazing, I didn’t ask for anything that I didn’t get! The food, facilities, pool, equipment and so on are all top notch as well! Oh and John took me to a Buddhist temple that’s right behind kima, make sure to do that!

I’ve spent two weeks at Kima camp Sri Lanka. During these two weeks i’ve improved in surfing, you have the option to choose your level and intensity of surfing lessons. The guides are experienced and friendly. Between the surf classes you can take some good yoga and pilates classes or chill by the pool. I’ve booked the dorm room and liked the cleanliness, privacy and comfort it provided. The staff in the camp were really helpful and friendly. The breakfasts and dinners are really good and diverse. Besides this i’ve made some nice friendships. Overall i’ve enjoyed my stay and would really recommend you to come to kima surf.

Also the catering team was super frriendly and warm and the food was super yummy as well and I was looking forward to it every night, my favorite was Mexican night and Pasta night. One of the most significant highlights of my stay was the fantastic team of surf guides. Not only were they highly skilled and knowledgeable about the waves, but they also had an infectious sense of humor that kept us laughing throughout our surfing sessions. They were helping me improve my technique and gain confidence in the water. The friends I made here are great because they share the same passion. Whether we were hanging out by the pool, sharing stories around a bonfire, or catching some waves, the positive and friendly atmosphere made every moment enjoyable. The dorms at Kima Surf Sri Lanka were nothing short of amazing. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, they provided a perfect space to unwind and rest after a day of surfing. The accommodations felt cozy and inviting, ensuring a good night's sleep to recharge for more fun-filled days ahead.
