ダブルツリー バイ ヒルトン ハリソンバーグ(DoubleTree by Hilton Harrisonburg)

We were impressed with the cleanliness which is often lacking in many hotels and which we really appreciate, especially with small kids. The only thing was the room had a slightly musty smell (just in our room, we didn’t notice it anywhere else.) But the sheets, pillows, bathroom, floor and surfaces were clean. We enjoyed the indoor pool (warm water, clean, nice open pool area with furniture, tv, shower, and fitness area) and complimentary (delicious) cookies upon check-in. Nice decor, clean ice machines. We were very pleased overall. Did not partake of the hotel breakfast as it cost extra, instead we found a great little diner in town for a comparable price.

Check in was easy, the rooms are nice, no microwave though to heat up leftovers from dinners out. It was nice and close to many shopping choices, walmart, target, kohls and much more. So if you needed anything you just had to go across the street. What i didnt like was the price was more then what i was sent in my confirmation email. They couldnt put us in a joining rooms, there was a dead mouse found in the pool sitting area by my kids. No breakfast, they had some food but it would be added to you bill and i felt we were paying more then what we recieved. They had a restaurant also but the prices were ridiculously high. I dont understand if im paying this much for a room where we basically just slept and then have to pay more for breakfast. The service desk people were very nice though. Would i stay here again, maybe but probably not.

This property was not what I was expecting. The room did not have enough light. There was no light in the entrance by the closets. The bathroom light was not very bright. The tile floor in the elevator was broken. There is nothing special about this hotel, I my opinion.

Hotel is partly remodeled, but it does show its age. It is pretty clean. There are not many outlets in each room. Plenty of towels and pillows are provided. Mattresses are very comfortable. Breakfast is not included, but is available for purchase. Price for breakfast was pretty high at about $15/adult.

Area around the top of the window was disgusting! The light in the entry way did not work. This means that you have to fumble around for a switch on a bed side light when you come in after dark since that is the only light in the room with wall switch. Shower was moldy in various places. The shower valve is on the opposite end from the door so you can't turn the shower on without getting hit with ice cold water. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. The vertical grab bar is at a TERRIBLE height for tall people. I smashed my elbow into the sharp edge of the steel grab bar. I could barely move my arm the rest of the day. Bed and pillows were very comfortable! Some of the best I have had at a any hotel.

Jason at the front desk made my stay. He was so helpful and willing to assist in anything I needed. He helped me get papers printed that I forgot at home. He made it a 5 star experience.

Very friendly and professional staff. The bed was very comfortable! The breakfast buffet was well stocked.

The pool was ice water cold. No towels at the pool. The phone did not work in the room. The bottled water was $6 each. No breakfast options at all.

The staff at check seemed uninterested and unwelcoming. Our room was clean but all public areas were dirty. Had breakfast which was typical bad buffet food and the room was dirty from the night before. Crushed food on the floors all over the hotel. Gross. Would not stay here again. I will say the bartender and the breakfast staff were kind.
