Absolutely vile and disgusting rooms. I went through 9 rooms with the front desk staff and they saw that all rooms had hair in the beds, bathrooms and sinks. They were unacceptable and now we found a live bug in the bed. I would never ever stay here and the management should be horrified!

The hotel was a nice surprise. The front desk attendant was warm and welcoming and although the lobby was small, the beverage station was well stocked and inviting. Our room was clean and our bed was very comfortable. The location was central to the activity we were in Wilmington for and there were a plethora of dining options. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

I would NOT recommend this hotel. I have asked for management, emailed them and called and no one has answered me. From the start of our stay we had a double queen and a sofa bed. Opened the sofa bed it was FILTHY! No sheet or anything so we called down to get one. They gave us a dinky sheet to cover my kids were freezing! The he’s tonight we asked for another blanket and the front desk agent I could tell he didn’t want to get up. He said oh I have the last one I had away. To me, yeah okay. Definitely lazy! My kids woke up to a red blood stain on the bottom of the bed where there feet were over odd. And disgusting if you ask me. The drain in our room was so rusty and as we were leaving I saw a huge bottle of bug spray. Wondering if it has bed bugs?! No one has responded

I stayed at this hotel when it was the Inn of Wilmington a few times. The company I worked for used it as one its hotel partners for employees when staying in Wilmington. We commonly referred to the Inn of Wilmington as “Hotel Hell”. It got so bad we collectively refused to stay there. It was old, dirty and the breakfast was just awful. Fast forward to this stay. The hotel was converted into a HIE. The hotel was clean for the most part, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was equivalent to what is offered at all HIEs. We were pleasantly surprised that such a transformation occurred knowing the past history at Hotel Hell. I applaud IHG for salvaging this hotel. My only recommendations would be that perhaps hotter water could be delivered to the upper floors. There was some uncleaned areas in the bathroom but not horrible. Attention to detail stuff but this did not impact our stay. Good job HIE.

On the cover, this hotel looks and feels like any other “Express” IHG hotel. Its newly renovated, decent sized pool, adequate fitness center, etc. BUT the STAFF is what makes this a 5 star experience! I stay 100+ nights a year in various IHG hotels across 15 states and the hospitality they bring to your visit is almost unmatched. They have complimentary fruit water, check-in cookies AND a gift!? Unheard. Everyone i dealt with at the front desk was super friendly, willing to help, and CARED about you and your stay. Special shoutout to Saniya at the front desk!!! She was incredibly personable and easy to talk to. It was like talking to a friend, but we were doing business. She is incredible and what I hope every IHG employee to be like!

Saniya at the front desk was amazing. During our check in she had a customer who wasn’t happy with his room. He interpreted our checking 3 times. She was very professional with him while checking us in at the same. The breakfast was good and hot the hostess Renita was great. She greeted every guest and you could tell she loves her job. She keep all the dishes full. Renita asked every guest if they needing anything and was even collecting trash from the tables. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Definitely a great place to stay.

EXCELLENT! Very clean, comfortable, and every staff member we encountered was extremely pleasant and polite... saying "hello," holding doors... manners that one doesn't see a lot of any more. AND... for an "included breakfast," I was VERY impressed. I'd select this hotel without hesitation if we're traveling this way again!

This is a decent hotel on the outskirts of the city, in an area with shopping and restaurants. Near Brandywine Creek State Park and other northern Wilmington attractions. A quiet hotel with polite staff. Breakfast was fine. The room was clean but small and narrow for two people to navigate. The beds were much too soft, so soft that we felt we were sinking into a vortex. Didn't get much sleep due to this. Suggest getting firmer mattresses.

This was a first time stay for my partner and myself. We were both impressed and satisfied with the upscale, comfortable accommodations. Room was clean,bed was plush! Staff was most helpful. Great Location! Hot buffet breakfast was extensive with quick turnaround time to replenish from the kitchen staff. Will return to this location on a future trip to Wilmington.

Check in was slow, as well as check out. The hotel was quiet and I did sleep well. The room was comfortable and the fridge was a little larger than I expected but there was no little freezer section. The breakfast was okay, there was bacon which was unexpected but overall it felt like slim pickings, there were few options and many things were not restocked well throughout the breakfast rush. I am not sure if this was a lack of staffing or a lack of supplies. I would probably look for an alternative hotel if I was in the area.

Small lobby and check-in but the rooms and especially the beds were extremely comfortable. A special shout-out to the manager Grace who came to our rescue when a shower handle needed repair. She was exceedingly helpful and courteous and went the extra mile. They also have a great free breakfast every morning.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn overnight. It's your typical Holiday Inn. Clean for the most part, but I felt the bathroom floor was a bit neglected and the lighting in the shower area was dim. I am not a fan of having the sink as part of the room. If you get up earlier and want to get ready, you're disturbing the other people in the room. They did have individually wrapped cookies at the front desk and coffee/tea available throughout the day. It does come with free breakfast, which we did not try. Our biggest issue while staying there, no fault of the hotel, was that two teenagers kept knocking on our door throughout the night. We tried to call the desk using the phone in the room, and it didn't work. We then used our cell phone and reported it twice. They did come to our floor, didn't see anything, but did place a note on our door, which seemed to do the trick. Aside from the teenagers, the hotel was fine, and the beds were comfortable. It's in a great location. Close to many stores and restaurants.
